Chapter 4
“Who?” Alice asked. This was the first she was hearing of this.
“His name is Marcus Allenwood. Do you know him?”
“Marcus Allenwood; yeah I met him once. He was one of the first artists that Bette worked with like ages ago. I read recently that he’s been selected for the next Whitney Biennial. That’s a really big deal in the art world. He’s the donor? Wow. So what’s the problem?”
“Bette just dropped him on me. Out of the blue she comes home and tells me she’s found the perfect donor and she’s talked to him and he’s agreed to do this for us. She’d made all these plans and I hadn’t even met the guy. We agreed that we wanted a donor that we both knew.”
“Tina by then hadn’t you guys decided you might have to use an anonymous donor from the sperm bank?”
“We hadn’t decided anything. I hate when she tries to control everything.”
“But I’ve never met him.” Tina insisted
“I know… but I know exactly what you and I are looking for and he’s perfect Tee. He even has a kid so we know he can get someone pregnant and he’s willing to donate to the Cryobank. He’s already confirmed an appointment so we can at least get the sperm tested.”
Tina isn’t even hearing Bette. If there was one thing she hated more than “Condescending Bette” it was “Control Freak Bette”. All she’s focused on is the fact that Bette would go so far as to select a donor and arrange for him to visit the Cryobank without her knowledge. In her enthusiasm Bette doesn’t pay any attention to Tina’s incredulous looks and unenthusiastic reaction to the news.
“But I’ve never met him.” Tina said again hoping to get through to Bette
“You will meet him tomorrow. He’s coming by the house at 11am. Tee he’s willing to do this for us so we can have the sperm on ice for when you’re next ovulating. It’ll be there for when we want to use it. Look, just agree to meet him. You can spend some time getting to know him. He’s a really great guy and I’m sure you’re going to like him Tee.”

Ouch this story hurts. I love it
Wow, now things get worst, there is a man in the scene, who Tina doesn’t even know in flesh. I could think on the traumatic year they had, has affected Tina in the way that she is rejecting many things she had with Bette; deep down she knows she love her wife, but she feels manipulated by her, and Bette wants to get things done and behaves as a control freak. Again miscommunication and self-centeredness is the problem. I like how you take them down in this story, I wondering when they will touch bottom and how is going to be the mending fences part. Now, Tina has made a mistake, apparently she left the laptop on, and got distracted with Alice; if Bette arrives first, she may see the e-mails on the laptop and it’s not going to be pretty for Tina. I like this story, and as painful as it is I’m glad you are updating every day, so, the agony is short. Thanks again and pps
It’s great to have you back posting BAT even though you are breaking my heart with the storyline.
I will, of course, keep reading in the believe that Tibette will triumph in the end.
Thanks and post again soon.
