Bette: Tina that was wonderful…. nice way to wake up… but what is with all this sweat?

Tina then kissed her wife and smiled.

Tina:  How do you feel? Any discomfort anywhere?

Bette:  Oh, I feel fine. I had a big wave of heat and then I started pouring the sweat. Your attentions were earth shattering. But now that I have water and this towel, I feel relaxed and satisfied.

Tina:  Well, I suspect that it may be that time in your life in which mother nature is making a few changes.

Bette:  Oh, God no…. you think I’m entering menopause!

Tina:  Bette, when was your last period?

Bette:  I’d have to look it up.  I marked it on my calendar.  Come to think of it, it’s been a while.  You haven’t made me pregnant, have you?

Tina laughed:  No dear, that would be a big deception for me to do something like that, particularly since we hadn’t agreed to having another baby.

Bette:  Well, you are very talented in your sexual techniques and there are miracles. Menopause uh?  I’m not sure I’m ready for that.  Why now?  I’m only what almost 54 years old.

Tina:  Yes, and from what I hear, you are one of those who are going into this phase later than most.

Bette then put on her pouty face and folded her arms in front of chest.

Bette:  Does this mean I going to turn into a raving maniac?  My temper is short enough, I don’t need it to be any shorter.  Is that where all this sweat is coming from?

Tina:  Bette, menopause effects each individual differently. Some people have a relatively easy time of it. This phase of change can be relatively short with very little side effects. Some have it a little rougher.  Remember when Kit went through it?  It didn’t last but a few months. The good thing is that you are sleeping with me and not a man.  So, you won’t have any unplanned pregnancy.

Bette:  Oh Tina, what is this going to do to our sex life? I don’t think I could live without having sex with you.

Tina:  Dr Wilson will give us some advice on that.  But I’m not giving up having sex with you for something like this.  I’m sure that women with menopause continue to have sex all over the world. You know that I’m going to go through menopause at some point. So, we need to know how to handle these changes for both of us. We’ll get through this…we will and I’ll be right by your side. Naked!
