“I hope you know how much your Momma loves you little guy. I would do anything in the world for you. You have made me a very happy Momma, but I think you know that already.”
“He does!” Bette said from the doorway where she had been watching and listening to Tina. Bette held up the bottle for her to see a 4 ounce bottle nearly full.
“Wow..was there really that…”
Bette didn’t let Tina finish. “Yeah.. there was that much left.. He only nursed from one side.”
“So..I’m.. I’m really.. this is all really happening… Wow!”
“Yes T.. it is most definitely really happening. And you are doing great… You know he will need to be fed again while everyone else is here.”
“I know..”
“Do you feel comfortable feeding him while everyone is around?”
“Yeah..” Tina smiled. “Yeah I do babe… they will freak”
“Yeah they will.”
“Knock Knock” Kit said as she opened the door and they all piled in the house with their arms loaded down with more presents.
“Hey Guys!! Merry Christmas!” Tina called out!
“Merry Christmas!” Bette said with a smile!
The kids heard their Aunties and came running! They made their way around to Kit, Alice, Dana, Shane, and Kate giving hugs, kisses, and holiday greetings to all.
“Come on in and take a load off… The kids are dieing to pass around all of your presents.” Bette instructed. The gang all found their favorite spots. Kit took the chair with Gavin in her arms. Alice and Dana took the floor side by side, Shane sat with the kids, and Kate took the other chair, her son sitting in her lap. Shane and the kids made quick work of passing out the presents, and soon there was paper flying through the air once again.
“Geeze Al I think you are making a bigger mess than the kids did this morning!” Tina said with a laugh.
“Where’s the fun in opening presents slowly?”
“Um… maybe Dana could explain that one to you when you get home tonight!” After all the ribbing she had taken from Alice over the years she was not about to let the chance pass by to make Alice blush.
