The rest of the girls were already there and they all sat down for dinner. They had a good time as always. Alice did her best to entertain everybody and she did it well. Bette stole glances down at her cell to see if Tina had replied to her message, but there was no answer. Bette tried not to worry.
“What? Am I not enough for you?” Alice asked as she leant into Bette looking over her shoulder at the cell in Bette’s hand.
“No, Al – you’re not enough for me… but we established that a long time ago,” Bette smiled.
“Hey, play nice…!” Dana said from across the table. Alice winked at her before she turned her attention back to Bette.
“So, whom are you expecting a call from?” Alice probed further.
“No one… it’s just, I sent Tina a text message and I’m hoping for a reply, but she’s probably busy so…” Bette explained with a hint of disappointment in her voice.
“I guess some things never change, huh? It was always Tina who would hold you attention even when she wasn’t around. Not much have changed in that department. You’re so a lost cause, Porter…” Alice said with compassion in her eyes.
“I guess…” Bette admitted.
“Why don’t you just call her?”
“I don’t wanna push my luck. Things are going so well at the moment. I’m sure she doesn’t want me breathing down her neck…”
Alice let out a laugh, “I’m pretty sure she wants you breathing all over her.”
“Al!”
“I’m just saying…”
“I KNOW what you’re saying…” Bette said as she fought to keep a straight face.
“Why don’t you send her another message… as a compromise?”
“I guess I could do that,” Bette said looking at the phone like it was the love of her life.
“Mmmm, you should…” Alice grinned.
Bette sent another message, letting Tina know she was there for her and to call, if she needed someone to listen.

Tina had been driving around the neighborhood for an hour. She was nervous about seeing Henry again, but she was even more anxious about how Mikey was going to react. She practiced what she was going to say in her mind as she drove up and down the coast. In reality she couldn’t prepare for the conversation she was about to have. She had no idea what Henry had told Mikey, and she knew even less about what Henry’s thoughts were on whether or not she could see Mikey after today.

I suppose losing access child and there being nothing one can do to stop it would render one numb. Henry’s clearly lost the plot. Good post, anker.
I hope Tina is OK, but she doesn’t deserve to be in Mikey’s life. She’s not really a friend of the family nor his mother. Appreciate the time you had and let Mikey be loved by his parents and perhaps the next woman Henry does marry. Henry didn’t even owe her the time she just had, he’s not the bad guy here. He gave her options and she made her choice. Nice that Bette was there to pick up the pieces again even though she may not get what she really wants out of the relationship with Tina.
that hendick is some piece of work… i do hope miky’s mom does call tina… i have a feeling she knows just how good tina has been to her son… so glad bette went to find her… and also taking her HOME… please continue
definitly this was so difficult for Tina but Bette was there to help her. I am with Amanda maybe Mike’s mom let Tina will be near mikey because she care a lot about him and mikey love her too, The little boy don’t have to suffer the anger of her father. well done girl
I hope Mikey’s Mother was glad to get rid of that ass hole. Maybe she will let Tina see Mikey when she has him. Thanks goodness Bette went looking for Tina. The options he gave her was horrible wrong. He just want that build in wife part time Mom and some one to take care of his needs. thanks

Okay this chapter wasn’t what I hoped for, but it is your story and only you know where you are headed with it. Unfortunatley there are no winners in a situation like this because everyone is hurting. I feel sorry for Mikey the most because he was the only totally innocent one in all of this and he can’t understand what is happening. He just knows that he loves Tina and she loves him. I am so glad that Bette went and found Tina. She will be there for her no matter what because her love for Tina is unconditional. This was a very emotional chapter anker and I can’t wait to read your next one. Thanks

What kind of man would use a child to try to get a woman to stay with him? That’s what he was doing…he let her stay and play and bond and tuck him in hoping at the end of the night she would stay out of love for the child. Shameful! I wouldn’t want someone who dosen’t want me.
Henry is a complete a**!!!! That is just wrong of him to do that to Tina and Mikey. I dont see how he could hurt his son like that. Maybe he will change his mind after he sees Mikey hurting b/c Tina’s not there anymore. Hopefully Tina will be ok b/c now she has lost 2 sons. Very sad but a great update. Now bring on the mushy stuff. LOL PPS
I can’t really understand how Tina bonded so closely to Mikey. But I guess it can happen. Tina needs to get her priorities straight w/Bette first. She can have a family w/Bette. Even on the show, I never understood why they didn’t try and work out their difficulties. Why Tina didn’t try. Yeah, Bette was wrong and I don’t condone it but Bette didn’t committ murder. But hell, it is difficult to tell a complex story in just twelve 50 minute episodes w/many characters. PPS.
Azmama…it could have been done…they just took a really wrong direction…they could have worked on it instead of bringing in all those new characters…they could have worked on it instead of concentrating on the really weird life of Jenny…oh lord don’t get me started…

WTF????happened to Tina there???? I can understand her upset but this seems a bit more than that…did Henry do something??? Poor Mikey, adults should be adults when kids are involved BUT easier said then done…Henry’s obviously a bit cuckoo with the photos and all in his bed!!!! He can’t force Tina to love him….great writing PPS

I know how hard it is to walk away from something that you love with all of your heart. When a child is added to the mix it makes it that much harder to swallow the pain. Sometimes you wonder is it easier to walk away and never look back or to walk away but yet visit once in awhile. What Henry had planned was not going to help Mickey but it would help him. If he really cared about Mickey and Tina he would have allowed them some time during the week just for them. He also could have just said that it would be too hard on him and Mickey right now for her to be around. Maybe in time she could visit, but for Henry to do what he did it just shows what type of person he is. Thank god that Bette followed up on her desire to know if Tina was okay. Bette can hold her close to her heart and just be there for her.
Yeayyy its time for B&T go home together!
