Dana’s Choice Chapter 11 (Final chapter)

As Alice sat there waiting for her time to go up, along with Howie. She continued to worry that somehow she would embarrass Dana. Howie sensing Alice’s nervously reached over and took her hand giving it a gentle squeeze. Then he looked at her reassuringly reminding Alice of Dana and how sometimes she could calm her down with only a glance.
When it was Dana’s turn to introduce her family she asked Howie and Alice to come up so she could introduce some of her family. She first introduced Howie, explain that he was her younger brother, and how he had always been very supportive of her in both her tennis, and her personal live. She also told everyone how proud she was of him for finishing up his second year at USC.
Then she introduced Alice. “This is Alice Pieszecki, Alice is my partner. I meet Alice over 10 years ago, just after I tuned professional. Alice has been my best friend from almost as long as I’ve known her. Recently after a series of events I realized Alice was the person I hoped to spend my life with. Alice is a journalist for a local magazine, plus she does a local talk show on KCRW on Friday nights.”
Alice sat there not knowing what to say, she wonder if Dana had any awareness of what she had just said. Howie knowing his sisters ability to speak without thinking it totally through, once again slung his arm over Alice’s shoulders and whispered in her ear. “Welcome to the family.” Then he smiled while shaking his head lightly back and forth.
After Alice finely snapped out of her fog and looked over a Howie shrugging her shoulders and smiling back. Alice then proceeded to tell the audience about hers and Dana’s first meeting, and then she lightly touched on the subject of her jobs.
While she was telling the audience about their first meeting Dana would occasionally interrupt adding something Alice had forgotten or just telling her side of the meeting. They won the audience over with their obvious chemistry, and if anyone doubted they were in love, all they really needed was to watch to two of them together on this segment of the show and there would be no doubt.
