Dana wanted tonight to be special, she wasn’t sure if Alice remembered the date or not. However, three years ago at 4am Alice made her feeling known to Dana.

Alice knew the date they first made love, and even though they unofficially consider that night to be the Anniversary of them getting together. Dana considers the 4am kiss to be the real beginning of their relationship

To this day when Dana thinks back to that kiss and the intensity of it, it still knocks her off her feet. When Alice showed up, she remembered being mad at Alice for trying to tell her what she should do with her life. Then when Alice reached up and kissed her it shocked her, she would have never imagined Alice feeling this way toward her. The kiss both confused her and made everything clear at the same time.

It confused her because of its timing, and her consent fear of rocking the boat. She didn’t know what to do at first, she was engaged, and yet she knew after kissing Alice the second time that night, she wasn’t in love with Tonya.

Yet in some ways, the 4am kiss made everything clear. She loved Alice period. She knew what love felt at that very moment.

Dana still can’t believe she almost gave this love up for shallow praise and adoration, and she hoped she would be able to spend the next eighty years making up to Alice for the pain she had caused

Dana looked at her watch and noticed it was 2:00am. She picked up the basket that was filled with different cheeses and crackers, and some of the best wine money could buy and headed off to Alice’s place.

ALICE’S APARTMENT 2:35am

Alice could hear someone buzzing at her intercom. At first, she thought maybe some kids were outside thinking it was cute to buzz someone in the middle of the night. However, the buzzing continued and was persistent. After a few minutes, Alice realized who ever it was wasn’t going away, so she went to see who could be bothering her at this hour. As she stumbled to the intercom, she muttered under her breath. “If this kids, I swear I’ll kill them.”
