    An afternoon of shopping…

    “Alright then!” she turned to Kate. “We are gonna get out of here. We have a very important date at the park”

    Kate smiled. “I’ll see you tomorrow! You guys have fun!”

    “We will!” she replied with a smile. And with that they were headed out the door. Colin’s drawings in hand.

    * * * * *

    Bette and the girls made quick work of getting the guest room ready for the men from the furniture store. Everything was packed in boxes and cleared out except for the furniture, and she managed to get the salesman to agree to have the delivery men clear out the old furniture.

    She just came back in from taking the last box out to the garage when she heard the door and Hailey came running.

    “Mommy they are here!”

    “Well let’s go get the door.”

    “Ms. Porter?”

    “That’s me”

    “We have a furniture delivery for you.”

    “Follow me and I will show you where everything goes.” They made their way to the bedroom.

    “This bed and dresser go out to the garage. One bed goes under each window, the desks and dressers go along this wall. Dressers in the corners and desks directly across from the beds.”

    “Alright M’amm, we will get this taken care of for you right away.”

    “Thank you.. can you bring the boxes in first and put them in the living room, we will sort through them so we stay out of your way”

    “Of course M’amm right away.”

    “Thank you”

     

    The girls were excited, and that was evident as they ran through the house following and watching every step of progress toward getting their new room set up.

    “Ley Ley.. Sky.. come here please” Bette tried to catch them as they ran through the living room and out the front door

    “Skyler.. Hailey…come here.” and they were off once again this time into the bedroom. Her patients were starting to wear thin. Excited or not Bette was not accustomed to not being listened to and was not going to start now.

    2. GREAT chapter, I am glad that Bette got through her first displenary patch with the girls and was able to reassure them. Colin is sooooooooo cutr with Tina and Bette will also love the pictures. I LOVE how this family is continuing to grow together. PPS :o).

    9. Boy, the girls sure had a great day with Bette, they knew she would not say No to them. She could have drawn the line but knew they would be sorely disappointed.And as she said one look in those hazel eyes and she was a goner. Tina will love the room and we know she is going to cry her heart out but Bette will have a great evening with Mommy when the kids are in bed. Bette will be repaid in such a lovely and hot loving way. Hope she’s not too tired. Can hardly wait for the next post. PPS

    11. Poor Bette, three Kennard women she just doesn’t stand a chance. Wait till Tina sees all the stuff she bought. Love the girls and Colin. Great job Bette did of letting the girls know that even when there are times she’s upset with them, it doesn’t change the fact that she loves them.

    14. Oh those poor babies, I could just feel their fear of losing their mommy’s love on DAY ONE of their new life so to speak. Bette is such a sucker but a lovely one that she won’t mind at all that’s she spent large on the girlz. Now hows Colin gonna feel? and is T gonna be all practical on her woman? I hope not.
