    An afternoon of shopping…

    “Thank you” she said with a smile. “Not only are they beautiful but they have me wrapped around their little fingers, its those eyes they get me every time!”

    “I have two at home myself, I know exactly what you mean” he said with a knowing smile. Thank you again”

    Bette waived as she looked at the girls “We better get going girls we have a lot of work to do before Momma gets home”

    Tina walked over to the table Colin was sitting at. “What are you drawing buddy?”

    “They are pictures of us.” he said proudly.

    “They are?? Can I look at them?”

    Colin nodded yes as he handed Tina the stack of drawings he had been diligently working on.

    Tina’s heart melted as she went through the stack of drawings all of them a reflection of their new family in one way or another. There were drawings of all of them together, some of just the kids, and one that brought a tear to her eyes. It was an amazing six-year old drawing of a woman with her arms wrapped around a little boy in front of a house that held a resemblance to hers and at the top it read “Momma and Me”.

    “That one is for you… and this one to” he said handing her the drawing he just finished of all of them together. He even included the baby in his own way. There was an arrow pointing at Bette’s tummy with the word “Baby” written next to it.

    “They are for me?” she asked

    “Yep”

    “Well then I think that they need to go in a very special place” she got up and pinned them on the wall next to her desk along with some drawings that the girls had done.

    Kate watched the exchange from her desk and couldn’t stop the tear that escaped as she watched the beautiful exchange.

    Tina walked back over to Colin. “How about we take off and spend the rest of the day at the park?”

    “Yeah!” Colin left no question about his excitement.

    2. GREAT chapter, I am glad that Bette got through her first displenary patch with the girls and was able to reassure them. Colin is sooooooooo cutr with Tina and Bette will also love the pictures. I LOVE how this family is continuing to grow together. PPS :o).

    9. Boy, the girls sure had a great day with Bette, they knew she would not say No to them. She could have drawn the line but knew they would be sorely disappointed.And as she said one look in those hazel eyes and she was a goner. Tina will love the room and we know she is going to cry her heart out but Bette will have a great evening with Mommy when the kids are in bed. Bette will be repaid in such a lovely and hot loving way. Hope she’s not too tired. Can hardly wait for the next post. PPS

    11. Poor Bette, three Kennard women she just doesn’t stand a chance. Wait till Tina sees all the stuff she bought. Love the girls and Colin. Great job Bette did of letting the girls know that even when there are times she’s upset with them, it doesn’t change the fact that she loves them.

    14. Oh those poor babies, I could just feel their fear of losing their mommy’s love on DAY ONE of their new life so to speak. Bette is such a sucker but a lovely one that she won’t mind at all that’s she spent large on the girlz. Now hows Colin gonna feel? and is T gonna be all practical on her woman? I hope not. Plz come back soon.
