Their eyes locked and they knew they had made their choice.
“Gavin Tyler Porter… I love it babe”
Bette didn’t answer right away. In that moment memories of her time with Tina and their new family flashed in her head and her heart swelled. This was not what she had planned, but the moment was here, and she knew she couldn’t make a more perfect moment herself.
“It’s missing something..”
“Really? I really like it babe.. I think it sounds great.”
“How about Gavin Tyler Kennard-Porter?” Bette asked with a Porter megawatt smile that put all others to shame.
Tina’s heart felt like it was floating she could barely bring herself to form a sentence. “Bette are… are you…?”
“Yes T…” Bette took Tina’s hand “Tina you have completely changed my life, you have made me feel things that I thought I would never feel again. I want to share everything with you, I want to wake up to you every morning for the rest of my life. You are my soul mate Tina, I truly believe that with every fiber of my being. Tina will you do me the honor of becoming my wife?”
“Oh Bette..” Tina had a tear in her eye. She didn’t think that Bette could have made her happier than she had over the past months, but she did. “I would love nothing more than to be your wife.”
Tina pulled the car over and turned to face Bette. “Just when I thought I couldn’t be happier you do this… and I fall even more in love with you.” She leaned in and crashed her lips into Bette’s. When they broke the kiss Tina looked deep into Bette’s eyes. “I love you Mrs. Kennard… I just hope you are ready for a lifetime of love and happiness.”
“I’m more than ready” Bette smiled “Mrs. Porter”
“You ready to shop? You know we have another stop to make.”
“Can we shop for clothes first T? I feel like such a slob. We will remember this forever… I don’t want you to remember me looking like a slob.”
“Yeah well I happen to think you look adorable all grubbed out, and what I will remember is that the day my wife proposed to me it was because the perfect moment swept her away. I promise you the smile on your face, the sparkle in your eyes, and hearing our names come across your lips together for the first time will be what I remember, not what you are wearing.”

What a beautiful story! I love how you have written the love/connection between TiBette. I can’t wait for the wedding and the birth of their son. Hopefully, Alice isn’t here to cause grief? PPVS!!!

OMG, I can not believe you stopped there. I can hardly wait for Alice mouth to hit the floor. I LOVED the scene in the Jewelry store. Niginaforever needs to reread that if she needs to see a connection. Everyone will be pleasently surprised to see the rings and the kids will be over joyed to share the same names. Unlike others, I am not worried about any drama that Alice may bring, because I think that B&T have the support of their kids and can with stand anything. PPS:o).

Ummm, is Alice going to be happy or sad or maybe even mad? I sure hope that she will be happy with the direction that Bette’s life has gone. Shopping with Bette and Tina is dream like.

So original. I like how the proposal and romantic scenes are realistic and not some fantasy, even though their love is like a fairytale.
