    An old friend returns… a name..

    “Let’s see if these fit.” Bette looked at the salesman and then to Tina signaling him to direct his attention to Tina first.

    The salesman looked to Bette and smiled, “Would you like to do the honors?” as he turned the box and slid it in Bette’s direction. Bette smiled at Tina as she removed the engagement ring from the box and gently took her hand. Bette started to speak and Tina placed her finger to Bette’s lips.

    “Shhhh.. Baby all I need is the look in your eyes.”

    The salesman watched on in awe, a tear forming in his eye as he watched Bette slip the ring on Tina’s finger, and watched they stare into each other’s eyes. There were no words spoken but he could feel the love, devotion, and the silent between him. He said nothing as he opened the other box and slid it over to Tina. She took the ring from the box and took Bette’s hand. Again there were no words spoken. Only a single tear fell down Bette’s cheek as Tina slid the ring on her finger. The salesman again stood in awe of what was transpiring before his eyes. He had neither the heart nor the desire to interrupt the women before him so he stood and patiently watched on as they pulled each other into a loving embrace and stole a gentle yet passionate kiss. Tina was the first to remember where they were.

    “What do you think?” She asked as she looked at the beautiful ring on Bette’s finger.

    “I love it… and I love you” Bette turned to the salesman “We’ll take them!” she said with a smile.

    “Wonderful” The salesman said as he took the boxes with the wedding bands and placed them in a drawer behind the counter. Bette and Tina looked at each other and to him slightly confused.

    “Not to worry ladies you will have your wedding bands, but first I must explain. In all my years I have never witnessed anything like what just transpired before me. The amount of love that you share is a wonderment in its self. I would like to thank you for sharing it with me. It would be my honor if you would allow me to place an engraving inside your wedding bands. As my way of saying thank you. I would like each of you to take the time to come in before the wedding and tell me what you would like the inscription to read.”

    2. What a beautiful story! I love how you have written the love/connection between TiBette. I can’t wait for the wedding and the birth of their son. Hopefully, Alice isn’t here to cause grief? PPVS!!!

    4. OMG, I can not believe you stopped there. I can hardly wait for Alice mouth to hit the floor. I LOVED the scene in the Jewelry store. Niginaforever needs to reread that if she needs to see a connection. Everyone will be pleasently surprised to see the rings and the kids will be over joyed to share the same names. Unlike others, I am not worried about any drama that Alice may bring, because I think that B&T have the support of their kids and can with stand anything. PPS:o).

    7. Ummm, is Alice going to be happy or sad or maybe even mad? I sure hope that she will be happy with the direction that Bette’s life has gone. Shopping with Bette and Tina is dream like.
