    Some family time… and some explaining to be done…

    Colin answered Tina with a big hug. “I love you Momma”

    “I love you too Little Man”

    “Momma…”

    “Yeah”

    “I really like the name Gavin” Tina gave Colin a loving smile and another hug.

    “So guys… your Momma and I have something else to tell you. Why don’t you all have a seat on the couch.”

    The kids all made their way to the couch and climbed up on it.

    “You guys have been happy since we became a family right?” Bette asked. Three little heads nodded back at her in agreement.

    “So what would you guys think about your Momma making it so that we are even more of a family for ever?”

    The confused faces faded into smiles and excitement.

    “You mean Colin will be my for real brother?” Hailey asked.

    “He sure would be… would you like that?” Tina asked her.

    “Yeah!”

    “Well this morning you Mommy asked me to marry her, and I said yes.”

    “Your going to have a wedding?” Skyler asked.

    “And we will be a for real family for ever?” Colin added

    “And we will be Kennard-Porters too?” Hailey added to the line of questions.

    “Yes… Yes… and Yes” Bette said looking at each of the kids with a giant smile.

    “So what do you guys think? Would you like that?”

    “YEAH!” they all said with excitement.

    Shane came in from the kitchen where she had been hiding out trying to let them have their family time together.

    “Ok.. so I really did try not to listen in… but it just wasn’t working for me. Congratulations you two. I’m really happy for you.”

    “Thanks Shane” Tina said receiving a hug from her best friend.

    “That goes for both of you…” Shane said looking directly at Bette. “Hey I know I was a little harsh at first Bette, but I really am happy for you. The two of you belong together.”

    “Thanks Shane”

    They were interrupted by a quick knock on the door and Kit walking in. “Hey baby sis”

    5. That was great and Alice was so Alice and I loved every minute of it. Everything is going fast, but like you said sometimes you just know what’s right for you and you need to go for it. PPS

    6. This is a lovely story and the children are so sweet and cut. They all love the idea of being a complete family as well as having a new baby in the house. Tell me nothing is gonna wreck this new loving family, please. I just smell disaster looming on the horizion, they don’t need it and neither do we. Great story. PPS or when you can.

    10. loving the shock affect of Alice/Shane. Being their closet friends but not knowing all of the details initally… LOL..Happy times I hope remain and maybe we could hook up some Danish as well..
