Daughters of Kirk and Spock, post 20

Elizabeth was surprised by this disclosure.  She knew that their fathers had gone into the Romulan Empire to retrieve the Lady Rhaina but not that it was due to Christina’s pending arrival.

“Who then ascended to the thrones of Rhemus and Romulus?”  Peggy’s curiosity got the better of her.

“As opposed to Rhaina and Rheanna?”  Christina interjected the pieces suddenly fell into place.

“You are sharp daughter of my sister.”  Peggy nodded.  “You understand that you are indeed a Princess of Romulus, Rhemus, Antares and Vulcan.”

Elizabeth stepped forward following the exchange with difficulty.  “Are you saying that you and the Lady Rhaina are the Crown Princesses’ of Romulus and Rhemus?”

“We were.” Peggy admitted. ‘I am Rheanna Margaret Kennard.”

    “Kennard?”

“The Royal House of the Romulan Empire, of course.” Peggy answered as if this should be understood by anyone of intelligence.

“So Commander Kennard is really a Princess twice over?”  Elizabeth said aloud to be sure.  “She is a Princess of the Romulan Empire as well as of Antares by her relation to you?”

“She is a Princess three times over, her sire Spock son of Sarek is of the Royal House of Vulcan.  While I entertained separating the two of you in favor of my daughter Christina would not survive such an event and I do not wish the death of the daughter of my sister.  If you were not melded I would push for an arrangement which is possible with a bond but not when two are melded.  Death is still the overwhelming result for the bond challenged one despite the decades I have been out of the loop so to speak is it not daughter of my sister?”

Christina pressed to the wall could only answer truly.  “Death is the outcome in ninety two point three percent of such attempts for the bond challenged one.”  Christina stated factually.  “The melded partner’s survival rate is the reverse however, ninety two point two percent.”

Serena who had been silent until this point and as uneducated in the ways of her ancestors spoke up.

“Cousin are you saying that there is over a ninety percent chance that you will die if your bond with Elizabeth is ruptured?”

    1. Christina must have misstaken Bette’s comment for honor and not the love she feels for her. Hopefully Bette can find her and explain her true feelings. PS

    2. You know, many have held that Kirk and Spock were indeed, uh, bonded. But with all that royalty flying around, I suppose that old “heir and a spare” stuff needed to be accommodated. So wait, who’s the one likely to die if the bond is broken? Math may not be my strongest suit.

    3. I think you’re right OneStorm1, Bette needs to tell Christina that she wants and NEEDS to be with her not out of obligation but LOVE. Please make this happen soon!

    4. Nooooooooo, Elizabeth you should have told her that you couldn’t live without her instead of saying it was because you couldn’t dace her parents! Where would she go? They are on a ship…is there somewhere she could beam down to or perhaps she takes a shuttlecraft. You are wonderful Kelika and this story is brilliant! Have fun at whatever you will be doing tonight and we’ll wait patiently for your next update!

    5. I’m usually a silent reader but I had to let you know that this is a great story. I actually went an looked at some old Star Trek shows so that I could truly understand most of it. Great writing

    6. just finished getting caught up with this story, what a great twist for our favorite characters. i think you have done a great job with a whole new version of our favorite couple, great, great job!!!!!

    7. I can’t think of a single reason why Christina would assume that Elizabeth wants to break the meld. The real princess is a non-entity in the captain’s book. I assume Henry and Port, rather than helping, are standing around, holding their…nevermind. Thanks!

    8. Okay, what the hell’s going on, has Tina run away from Bette? They ‘re gonna chase each other thru space. Awwww hell. Bette is so much in love with Tina, just as Tina is in love with her. Why run now? PPS

    9. Dang Christina had to leave just like that not waiting for Bette to explain and tell her she LOVES her,,,,geez K this is getting better and better,,lol loved it

    10. Oy,following this lineage is getting too complicated to me–especially at seven in the morning. But this story, despite my lack of trekkie knowledge, is really, really terrific. Thanks Kelika.

    11. Maybe Christina just went out to find her mother… to shake her until she coughs up some details! – C has a royal pedigree and a missing aunt, what else hasn’t mom told her?! – (Boy, those Romulans can really keep a secret!…;-)

    12. Ok here is the thing,I know nothing of Star trek absolutely nothing, and uh well 92.3% of the time (depending on which chapter)I have no idea what is being said, but I do understand melding….yes indeed!,but this bonding thing I just don’t get. So uh,where did the princess thrice over “gone” to? Elizabeth ,Elizabeth, Elizabeth, you and that mouth of yours, how are you going to face her mother when there is a 0% chance of you surviving if the “Princess Trice Over” dies?
