    Doctor: What’s going on here?? Deputy: Her husband decided to come back and finish her off, but the situation is under control. Doctor: Ms. Kennard are you okay, I’m sorry we ran in here as soon as we could? Tina: I’m fine doctor, he just got a good hold of my neck that’s all. Doctor: 

    Doctor: What’s going on here??

    Deputy: Her husband decided to come back and finish her off, but the situation is under control.

    Doctor: Ms. Kennard are you okay, I’m sorry we ran in here as soon as we could?

    Tina: I’m fine doctor, he just got a good hold of my neck that’s all.

    Doctor:  Well just let me take a look. Nurse can you please get Ms. Kennard a drink of water please.

    Nurse: Sure doctor.

    The deputy stood Henry up and was now walking him out the door. Henry turned and took one last look at Tina, and for the first time she saw sympathy in his eyes. She knew at that moment that Henry had realized the damage that he had cause and he was now gonna have to pay the consequences.

    Deputy: Henry Kennard you are under arrest for the assault and attempted murder of Tina Kennard. You have the rights to remain silence, anything you say will be held against you in a court of law. You have the rights to an attorney, if you can’t afford one….

    The deputy read Henry his rights as he walked him out the hospital and placed him in the back seat of the car. Other officers were now on the scene and it was all a big commotion to the bystanders looking on. A hour later everything was cleared out and Tina was in her hospital bed staring at the ceiling.

    Tina let out a big sigh.

    Tina: It’s finally over.

    At that moment the doors opened to her room open and in walks three people that will forever be in her life, Christie, Angelica and Bette.

    Chrisite: mommy!

    Christie ran and jump on her mother.

    Tina: uh not to rough sweetie…..hi my sweet baby did you miss mommy?

    Christie: yes I did mommy, I love you!

    Tina: Aww baby I love you too, more than anything in this world.

    Christie had crocodile tears in her eyes and Tina was silently sobbing holding her daughter tight.

    Christie: mommy are you feeling better?

    Tina: yes sweetheart, I got a feeling I will be feeling better from here on out.

    The girls were too young to understand Tina’s comment, but Bette who was standing next to Angie watching the mother and daughter scene, understood exactly what Tina meant by her statement. She smiled feeling so proud of Tina for finally standing up and facing her fears.

    1. I’m sorry that Tina had to go through so much, but it wouldn’t stop until she stopped it. If you know anyone out there please encourage them to get help. Change starts with ourselves remember that.

      Well done TN1 for bringing attention to a problem which is worldwide and affects all regardless of their class creed or sexual orientation and for offering a solution to those who summon up the courage to take it.
