    Don’t Fade Away Ch. 7

Shane walked out of the hospital with Jenny by her side. She squinted her eyes from the sun hitting her in the face. Jenny looked at her and handed her sunglasses to her.

Shane put them on and sighed. “Thanks.” They both walked to Jenny’s car and got in. Jenny put the car in drive and drove out of the parking lot. Shane slouched down in the seat and looked out the window.

Jenny looked at her then back at the road. “So how are you feeling?”

Shane sighed and put her foot on the dashboard. “I’m feeling better, but heartbroken.”

Jenny looked at her friend and frown. “I know what Carmen did to you is fucked up, but you know that she still loves you.”

Shane looked at Jenny over the sunglasses. “If she loved me, she wouldn’t of said yes.” Shane pushed the glasses back onto her face and looked out the window. “Drop me off at the clinic.”

Jenny looked at her. “Is today your first day?”

Shane sighed heavily. “Yeah, I’m feeling going to do this.”

Jenny rested her hand on Shane’s shoulder. “I’m so proud of you. I’m glad that you’re doing this.” Shane nodded her head and laid her head back against the seat. Jenny turned the corner and kept going.

Shane sat up and pulled on her jacket. “Jenny, you can stop here I can walk the rest of the way.”

Jenny started to slow down. “Are you sure?”

“Yeah, I’m sure.” Jenny slow down and pulled up to the curb. Shane jumped out and closed the door. She bent down and waved at Jenny.

“Good luck.” Shane smiled and saluted Jenny. Jenny smiled and pulled off. Shane walked away from the curb and put her hood up. She continued to walk until she walked in front of the St. Jude’s Rehab Clinic. She took a deep breath and opened the door. She walked up to the front desk and stood.

“May I help you?” The receptionist smiled.

    “Yeah, Shane McCutcheon.”

The woman looked down at her paper and looked through the names. She looked up and smiled  at Shane. “Alright Miss McCutcheon, if you take a seat. We’ll be right with you.”

    1. I don´t really like where the story seems to lead….that´s so complicated. And I don´t know shanes reaction that carmen “let her down” again seemes like nothing happened.

    2. Oh, nuh-uh!! Like Wittybanter wrote… who’s this ELISE? And why isn’t Carmen breaking up with Olivia? The longer she waits, the worse it’ll be. Can’t wait ’til Carmen sees she might have some competition. That’ll get her moving! Yet another great chapter. I’m soo hooked, it’s not even funny.

    3. Elise is just the thing to wake Carmens ass up. Bet Carmen will be pissed off & will make a decision once she spots Shane w/ someone else. Sharmen do belong together though. Update soon

    4. I’m glad you decided to throw another girl in the mix. Carmen is very undecisive and Shane doesn’t need that right now. Great update and I hope you update soon :)

    5. I have a feeling what’s coming next, but I also have to say I can’t really blame Shane. Maybe Carmen will realise that she did make a huge mistake by agreeing to a marriage. I know she does already, but why doesn’t she break it off with Olivia?
