    Don’t Say Good Bye~ Chapter 6

    Don’t Say Good Bye

    ~2 Years Later~

    *Elizabeth- 23; Jake- 22; Tina- 19*

“Miss Porter, Mr. Lefevre is on line one for you.”

    “Thank you Aimee.”

    She picks up the phone.

“Mr. Lefevre, thank you for calling me back.” She speaks to him in French the best way that she could.

    “You’re welcome”

“So you have decided to buy the painting I presume.”

    “Yes I have Miss Porter.”

“Mr. Lefevre, you have always been one of my important and best clients, please call me Bette.”

“Miss Bette, I want to thank you. My wife just loves the taste you have in art.”

“Well tell your wife she has an excellent taste in wine. Tell her thank you for the last bottle that she sent me.”

    “I will”

“Good. Now you can expect that painting to arrive at your home tomorrow afternoon.”

    “Thank you miss Bette.”

“You’re welcome, expect an invitation to our next artist dinner.”

    “Thank you”

“No, thank you. Have a marvelous day.”

They both hung up and Bette was kind of surprised at herself the way she had picked up the language so fast. That would be another plus on her resume.

    ~Back in L.A.~

    “Yes mother I’m doing fine.”

“That’s good to hear. You know I haven’t seen my baby in a while.”

“Mom all you have to do is turn on the t.v. and Jake will be right there.”

“Funny dear, but I was talking about you.”

“I’m sorry mom but I’ve just been really busy with classes and projects.”

“My dear Chrissy you need to learn when to take a break.”

“Now is not the time if I want to be a film producer by the time I graduate I need to keep going.”

“Well come see us once in a while, I miss you.”

“I will mom, I promise, I miss you and dad too.”

“Okay dear that’s all I wanted to hear. Good night.”

    “Good night”
