Emotional Intimacy – The Missing Piece.

“I can certainly support you in that. I might even have some leads to build your client list. Just let me know how I can help.”

“I will, as I said I’m still tossing some ideas around in my head and of course I need to speak to board and put some feelers out. I just wanted to mention it so you know where my head is at.”

“I appreciate it, and it brings me to something else I wanted to talk to you about.”

    “What’s that?”

“Planning for another baby. Since we’ve decided we want to use Marcus again as the donor and we know he’s going to be out of the country in a few months, I thought it might be a good idea to pin him down when he comes to L.A. in mid-August.”

“You want me to take him to the cryobank?”

“I want US to go with him to the cryobank. I want to be a part of the entire experience with you this time Tee. I don’t want you doing insemination in a cold sterile doctor’s office by yourself. I want this baby to be conceived in a loving environment; in our home; in our bed; just you and me. I want to be with you when you take the pregnancy test. I want us to manage the disappointments together if it doesn’t take right away, and I want us to be the first to celebrate the joy together when it does happen.”

“I want the same things babe. I had no intention of going through any of that by myself again or sharing the experience with anyone else but you. I want you with me and we’ll involve Angie when the time is right. I’m sorry you had all these anxieties today. I hope you feel more reassured now. Was there anything else?”

“No I think I got it all out. It helped talking with Emma first to put a lot of things into perspective.”

“I’m happy that you feel so comfortable with Emma to discuss all this but I want you to feel that way with me too.”

“I do feel comfortable talking to you Tee but there are just some things that I have to be sensitive to. It helps me to talk to Emma to get clarity and advice first before I broach it with you. Believe me it’s to our benefit in improving the communication. It also helps for her to know the situation so we can talk things through in couples’ therapy if there are any lingering issues.”

    3. You know bat! sometimes I think that in addition to writer, you are a
arts artist sometimes you are a therapist because
you write knowingly, his writing and rich
in many details, the story becomes a colirio to my
      eyes to read.
