Bette hung up the phone after leaving the tenth message on Tina and Henry’s answering message. She was going insane without seeing Angelica. It’s been five months since she last seen Angelica. After she came back with Angelica, Tina screamed and yelled every name in the book at her. Henry tried to get a few words in, but Bette got to him before he could get a word out. She picked up the frame of Angelica’s baby picture. She missed her first birthday because she was working late nights and sleeping most of the day away. Her whole world crumbled when Angelica’s birthday went by. There was a knock on the door, and Bette put the frame down. She walked over to the door. She smiled softly when she saw her radiant sister on her doorstep.
“Hey,” Kit smiled, donning a six-month belly.
“Hey baby sis, how you doing?” kit tried to wrap her arms around Bette. Bette laughed softly.
“You’re getting big,” kit waddled into the house and took a seat on the couch. Bette closed the door and took a seat next to her sister. “How are you doing?”
Kit sighed. “I’m doing really good. I just never thought at this age I would become a mother again.”
“How’s Angus hanging in?”
Kit laughed. “Girl, I have him up every night trying to feed my cravings. But I’ll send him back out if I change my mind. I’m glad he hasn’t left me yet. He’s doing good, he’s standing by me.” Bette nodded, and Kit patted Bette’s thigh. “So how are you?”
Bette smiled faintly. “I don’t know, I really don’t know. I just want everything to be the same, but what’s done is done. I can’t dwell on the past right?”

Helena finished off a full bottle of Chardonnay to herself and took a seat by her pool. She kicked up her foot and made a small splash. She lay down on the concrete as her feet were in the pool. She looked at the stars and the half moon luminous in the sky. Her phone went off next to her, and she picked it up.
“Hello…” Her words slurring as she spoke. “Hello…” There was the sound of someone breathing on the other end. “Can you speak? Hello?” Helena hung up the phone and sat it next to her. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath.
Dylan heard the dial tone and hung up the phone. She ran her hand over her face and walked away from the table.
