    “So, do you think she’s going to stop the adoption?” A stab of pain seared through Bette’s heart upon hearing her sister’s question. Would Tina stop the adoption now that she had decided she wasn’t a lesbian after all? The thought was unbearable, but something Bette clearly had to think about since Tina’s decision would

    A stab of pain seared through Bette’s heart upon hearing her sister’s question. Would Tina stop the adoption now that she had decided she wasn’t a lesbian after all? The thought was unbearable, but something Bette clearly had to think about since Tina’s decision would alter the course of both their lives.

    “I don’t know,” she whispered as her eyes filled with tears. “Right now she so unpredictable, one day she’s making sure I get to spend time with Angie, and the next she acts like just being in the same room with me is disgusting to her.” She shook her head in confusion. “I just don’t know,” she murmured.

    Kit couldn’t bear the anguish that was etched across her sister’s face. She knew all too well what it felt like to have your child taken from you. Even though with David the situation was different, and she knew he was better off living away from her during that very low time in her life when she was sitting in the middle of her drug and alcohol addictions, it still hurt like hell when Melvin Porter filed for legal guardianship of her young son.

    The silence deepened as the two women sat lost in their own thoughts in the privacy of Kit’s office at The Planet.

    After a couple of minutes Kit chuckled to herself and looked over at Bette. “You remember that party your mother and Daddy had to celebrate you graduating from elementary school?”

    Bette thought for a moment and then smiled and nodded her head at her memory of feeling the full force of her father’s pride.

    Kit also smiled even though her memory of the party was slightly different than Bette’s, only because she never got to experience being the center of Melvin Porter’s pride. “Daddy went on and on about how this was just the start of your education, and that you needed to continue to work hard so you could graduate with honors and get a job that will financially provide for you and your children?”

    “Oh God…” The previous tears were replaced with a sentimental laugh as Bette softly blew her nose with her handkerchief. “I remember my mother being embarrassed and reminding him that I was only 12, so not to marry me off and have me bearing children just yet.”

      That scene with that asshole and Tina is breaking my heart, it’s one of the most sad scenes and i feel so much for Bette and her heart.

      I love the idea of Bette and her own child.

    6. I love the way you wrote Bette and Kit’s relationship. Tina was a self-serving, cruel and callous bitch toward Bette during the “Man Years” especially the Henry phase. You’d think that being in the film industry and good looking herself, she’d be able to pull a really hot guy. I guess IC wanted the viewers to think “you’d trade Bette Porter for that?” Thanks for writing again.

    8. Great start! I wonder why IC wrote that pimply back Henry into the story for Tina. She turned Bette from an arrogant alpha woman to doormat for all of Tina’s humilating acts. I think that Bette being pregnant at the same time would have for some real drama. Let’s see how this story goes. PPS

    11. I hate that scene with a penchant. I was disgusted to see Tina having sex with Henry in Bette and Tina’s bedroom. I hated Tina in Season 3, She was so cruel and vindictive and seemed to enjoy hurting and humiliating Bette. I am looking forward to see how this story will turn out.

    15. Great beginning – I´m with dzungvo – perfect bridge to “Is it finally…”!
      I really…really hated the way Tina seemed to believe she was entitled to almost any kind of “revenge” imaginable, using everybody to obtain her goal. So I´d love for you to create a story, where Bette´s not reduced to some sort of pathetic woman constantly begging for forgivenes. Let Bette make a life for herself and her baby before letting Tina reenter her world.

    16. Wow, I’m in. I wrote a story about Bette having babies too and this one’s start has me smiling. It’s so good to be back reading all of the current amazing stories from dear friends. This will always be my favorite site for reading.
      I love that Kit is being so supportive and that Bette is determined to face her demons with fulfilling her own dreams. Such a good read and start to your story. Thank you!

    18. ugghh that scene always make me so angry the nerve of Tina to have Henry lame ass in their home, and i agree i think Bette should’ve went in there and cause alpha drama but shes too classy fr that. I cant wait to see Bette have her child and please don’t let her forgive Tina to easily if she take her back, i always felt IC made Bette to wipped over Tina while Tina went around having a good time in season 3 and Bette had heartbreak after heartache! Please continue soon..
