    Lisa and Shane also had cameras so the moment was preserved on video and digital still shots. Shane had just started taking the photography classes at the center. Lisa gave her a lot of pointers throughout the day so she actually captured some really great pictures that she would share with Michael the next time

It looked as though Shane had finally found something that she enjoyed and that she could possibly turn into a career or at least a serious hobby.

    They’d decided not to do any large birthday gifts until they were back home in Los Angeles so they wouldn’t have to carry them on the plane, however both Alice and Angie received some small items so they were able to open presents. Bette and Tina would surprise Angie with the ‘Angel Watching over Me’ glass sculpture that Leigh had made just for her when they got home.

    They gave Alice a ‘Gift Experience’ gift card which could be used for her choice of indulgent, exciting, unique or ultimate experiences from spa days to stock car racing, to riding in a hot air balloon.

    After dinner and clean-up they moved the party outdoors where Chelsea helped them to build a campfire. They sat around and roasted marshmallows, and made s’mores (graham crackers with melted marshmallows and chocolate.) Everyone took turns talking about the activities that they enjoyed most that day, they sang silly songs, and told stories. They kept the scary stuff to a minimum because they didn’t want to spook the young kids. The families had a great time together in this wonderful setting.

    Angie, Sophie, Suzie and Jackie said goodbye to their family and friends and stayed for the second week. The rest of the gang packed up the cars on Sunday morning and headed back to Monterey to catch their flight to Los Angeles. Bette, Tina and Lisa made the trip again the following weekend to bring the girls home.

    Bette and Tina had lunch with Marcus Allenwood in mid-August when he returned to Los Angeles. He and Bette had made arrangements to have his art pieces stored until her gallery opened. After they finished lunch and their business discussion they turned the conversation to the main reason they had gotten together and that was to talk about Marcus being the sperm donor again.

      Love this story and sad to see it will soon be ending.

      I find your writing leads me to other thoughts about my own life. I celebrate my birthday in a couple of days, wish it were with Angie and Alice :)

      Like SassyGran it makes me sad that the story will coming to a end.

      But there are a few more chapters and i am Looking forward to it.

    7. The good news is that there was a sequel called ‘From Here to Eternal Love’ but it’s not ready to be re-posted. This one needs a major re-write but the framework is there. However finishing ‘Love a bridge between our differences’ is my priority so that comes first. You all are a great inspiration. I really appreciate all the encouragement.
