"Hey baby, how are you feelin’?"
"Oh Daddy, you have no idea what’s going through my head right now."
"I can imagine. So how’s everybody doin’?
"Everybody’s fine. Toni’s staying over for a little while, Nanna went to visit some family in Bayamo, truthfully I didn’t want her to be here for the trial. You know she might hear some hurtful things in that courtroom. I don’t think she can handle that."
"I know baby." Trying to change the mood he said "So, how is Melito? Has he gotten bigger?"
"Much bigger! He’s eating really well, but then again how could he not, staying down here with Nanna." Bette laid back and she suddenly realized that her father was calling her awfully late.
"Daddy how did you know I would be up? It’s kinda late isn’t it?"
"Because you are my child, and I know something this big will keep you up until you get control over the situation. I’m the same way, it’s just like when you were born."
"How so, Daddy?"
"I told you this story haven’t I?"
"I don’t think so, but tell me anyway. It’s not like I’m going to sleep anytime soon." Bette had a certain amount of excitement in her voice, she loved stories about when she was a baby.
"Ok, well you know your mother was in labor with you for almost three days right?"
"No, I thought I came on my due date May 19th?"
"No, no, you came when they predicted yes, but your mother was having contractions for almost three days. The first day she was only dilated two centimeters. So they sent us home with your mother on some "mild" pain medication, that’s what they called it. The second day she was having contractions still, so they admitted us. The whole day nothing, you were sleeping the whole day and the contractions were still pretty mild. I stayed on the phone the whole day with your Nanna and Toni. They kept calling you stubborn and you would come out when you felt like it, and that you were just playing with us." That made Bette laugh out loud. This was the first time she was hearing this story.

Finally, Tina goes to her woman. I think Bette really needs her and not just phyically but emotionally. Can’t wait for Tina’s arrival and Bette’s reaction.
Yeah, Tina, you go girl! Will Alicia play some tricks and Tina get jealous? I’d like to see a slightly jealous Tina and Bette could assure her in many ways. ;)

Damn right it’s a long flight to Havana from Miami! 40 some years and counting! Bette’s about to get a MOST pleasant surprise. I smell a Tina/Alicia showdown coming.

lol…Bette was a creepy child ” first time you opened your eyes, well your right eye, it shot open and scanned the room and found me” lol…YIKES.
