"Really, I always thought that picture was when I was like two months or something"

"Oh no that is day two of your life on this planet. I believe the originals are somewhere in that house. Your mother took them down there for your Nanna and Toni to make copies. We slept like that a lot, me and my little girl. Hmm." Melvin was reminiscing and feeling a little sad about not being there to comfort his little girl, the way he knew she needed.

"And Mel was the first person to make me laugh, right Daddy?"

"That he was. I remember him kissing your little feet and you laughing. He was so proud to be a big brother. He would tell anybody who would listen about his little sister who only slept and "made stinky." Both Melvin and Bette were laughing out loud. "I remember I took him to the grocery store with me once and we must’ve stopped ten people so he could talk about his little sister. My boy." Bette could feel the pain coming from Melvin. That pain was to obvious to mask.

"Daddy how come you won’t see Melito. You wouldn’t believe how much he looks like Mel. I mean he even has Mel’s eyes and his smile is incredib…"

"Bette, baby everyday I help people find and face their demons. But your brother’s is not one that I’m ready to face and accept yet. I’m sorry."

"It’s ok daddy, I understand. So how’s everybody over there?"

"Well you know Jesse misses you, he’s out of summer school so he wants his water wars with you to start as soon as you get back."

"Will do. And, Daddy how bout you?"

"I’m fine, I’m missing my little girl but other than that I’m doing fine. I just talked to Tina she’s missing you to."

"When did you talk to Tina?"

"A few minut…" Melvin realized he may have just ruined a big secret.

"You talked to her a few minutes ago, Daddy? How did you know she was up?, did she call you?, Is she ok?" Bette’s mind was racing she couldn’t help but to have a small panic attack.
