    Chapter 22 – Taking care of those you love





    Two ships

    The past three weeks held long days for Bette and Tina. Bette trying to
    spend time with Kit, helping to manage The Planet and Tina taking over
    a great deal of the daily operations at The Planet. They had been like
    ships passing in the night collapsing in bed every night and scrabbling
    out the door at very early hours.

    Bette was going to help open the breakfast rush at The Planet today
    while Tina slept in and enjoyed some time with Jessie on a quiet
    Sunday. Bette’s goald for the day was to do her best be home early but
    she also needed to check on some things at the gallery.
    Bette sat at Kits desk signing some checks to paying bills Tina had
    prepared, thank goodness Tina was here to help and so willing to do
    whatever was needed.

    Bette sat back in the chair thinking about her beautiful partner. She
    heard a knock at the door. Hey Al, come in Hey Porter, How are you?
    Exhausted but thankful. Taking on Kits life has been a great of work
    but I am thankful every single day she did not die We all are. Hey I
    came back to tell you that Dane and I put an offer on that house around
    the corner from you Tina so keep your fingers crossed We will, Tina
    is going to be so happy. And thank you so much for all your help around
    here. What would we do without you?

    I still pinch myself when I see you and Tina together, its the best
    thanks of all Speaking of thanks. Do you any where I can get flowers
    on a Sunday? Bette reached for the phone book Yeah I know a couple of
    places Great, I want to do something special for Tina

    How about that wedding? You know Al as soon as Kit is feeling better
    I do want to start planning. Tinas business partners in the store are
    coming to town next week for a vacation and for them to do some work
    and we still have to move into the house I know, I know but dont put
    it off too long Maybe we can have a wedding and a christening at the
    same time

    Bette smile broadly. I love that idea! You know we want you and Tee
    to be his godparents What an honor Al of course we will but make
    certain you ask Tina yourself. It will mean a great deal to her Can
    do, now lets find a florist

    2. By all means ChakaSB, have them turn up the Chaka Khan, Chaka Khan. Interesting choice of music. Ooooowww! Aunt Vivian had a secret love! And a love child named Devon. Well! I guess that will neutralize her “normal” family campaign and knock her off her moral high horse. And a LOVE child is born to Alice and Dana. It goes round and round.

    3. I wonder what the big secret about Devon’s real father is? Maybe it’s really scandalous. So Bette and Tina are thinking about adding a new member to the family? I bet Jessie would love a little brother or sister. She’d be a great big sister.

    5. Davon and Aubt Vivian needs to get out of LA Bette and Tina new to try to have a child of their own. Let Alices mother go home she can be a pain. thanks

    7. A new Porter would be nice. Didn’t Tina want Bette to carry the next baby? Adoption is a great idea, but it would be nice to see a pregnant Bette. I will miss this story when you finish with it. I do hope that you will begin a new one for us to enjoy. Happy Easter and/or other holiday to you.

    9. Chaka, Lovely at the latest addition to the gang arrives. A little bitty baby boy who the gals all adore. Sorry to hear that this wonderful tale may be ending soon as I really enjoy every chapter appearing on the site. There are small treasures to savor and relish like candies on Christmas day. There just waiting to be consummed and give pleasure. I am just waiting for the wedding and honeymoon as that seems a great place to send the gals off into the sunset but I am sure that you could give us a sequel and highlight the drama in every day living. relationships need constant attention or they wether and dry.
