    Bette and Tina wake up together – can they say goodbye?

    Chapter 7 – Never can say goodbye..


    After so much emotion and many tears Bette and Tina slept like had so
    many nights in their life together, clinging to one another. They had
    moved into the position most comfortable for them – the perfect spoon
    but this time Tina was holding Bette, and Bette was allowing in this
    simple act herself to be vulnerable to Tina.

    Sometime in the middle of the night however Bette woke to the soft
    breath and big hazel eyes of Jessie looking down at her, probably
    wondering what Bette was doing in her mommies bed. Jessie said nothing
    and Bette pulled back the blanket and she climbed to Bette’s arms and
    her heart.

    As the light of dawn entered the room Tina heard Jessie’s familiar
    breathing and looked at what she had dreamed about yet buried deep in
    her heart-the thought of Bette and Jessie together. They were snuggled
    together like peas in a pod both completely yielded to the other.
    Goodbye was going to be difficult

    Bette felt Tina stir and move after a moment she turned slightly to see
    Tina face, the look on her face was understood and shared.
    “She just came and crawled in” Bette whispered, “I see” Tina said with
    a grin. “She does that if she has a bad dream or something”

    They both watched Jess sleep enjoying the tenderness of the moment.
    Bette pulled away from Jessie and sat up, look around for a clock – it
    was still early but she and Kit would need to get going. As she sat up
    in bed Tina pulled herself on to Bette’s stomach and they hugged for a
    very long time – saying nothing but goodbye in their silence.

    Jessie had woken up and was now down playing with Kit and Tina was
    hurrying around to prepare the day and breakfast. But Bette sat
    silently at the end of the bed as Tina walked back in the room their
    eyes locked and she sat down next to Bette.

    “Why do I feel like I just lived a lifetime in two days?” Bette said
    looking at Tina and searching for answers in her eyes. “I know I feel
    the same way too Bette. I know Alice and Kit meant well but this is a
    lot to take in” “Tina, I have no right to be in your life or ask you
    for anything but I do want us to truly be friends”

    3. I just love your story! It’s just a matter of time before both of these women find their way back to each other. Bette and Tina could never be “just friends.” There is way too much love between them for that. They’re soulmates.

    24. That was so bittersweet. Bette still loves Tina and vice versa, but the timing isn’t right. At least they think it isn’t. The bond that Bette has developed with Jessie is so touching…it was so sad when they left. So looking forward to more. Thanks for posting.
