    Tina pressed 2.

    Beep.

    Tina: Bette it’s me. Look I just came back from Angie’s school and she’s been getting into a lot of trouble and what’s worst, today she left school so I have to go find her, give me call ASAP once you receive this, bye.

    Tina then hung up the phone and laid her head in her hands. She was exhausted…between her own job, raising a teenager practically alone, and trying to save her marriage, it was taking a toll on her. It didn’t take no more than five minutes for Tina’s phone to ring the once familiar ringtone.

    Tina: Hello?

    Bette: What do you mean she’s been getting into trouble and left school? And what happened to you this morning?

    Tina: Well hello to you too Bette.

    Tina said shaking her head at Bette’s audacity.

    Bette: Did you hang up on me this morning Tina?

    Tina: You had me on hold for almost an hour Bette and thanks for calling me back.

    Bette: It was not an hour and you know I didn’t have that much time Tina.

    Tina: You never do Bette.

    There was a pulse for a few seconds.

    Bette: Where is Angelica?

    Bette ignored Tina accusations.

    Tina: Ignore me, that just great.

    Bette: Tina I’m serious, what the hell is going on?

    Bette asked concern for once in a long time. Tina sighed.

    Tina: Bette her teacher Mrs. Bankhead said she been talking back and not following any rules asked of her.

    Bette: So punish her. Ground her until she gets her attitude in check.

    Tina: Yeah like that would do anything.

    Tina whispered to herself.

    Bette: What?

    Tina: I said that’s not all Bette, she also told me that Angelica had missed numerous days of class…she’s skipping school now Bette. Today she went to Mrs. Bankhead class but that is it, she on the verge from being expelled from school.

    Bette was mortified.

    Bette: You got to be fucking kidding me! Tina, how this happen??

This a serious as a long tailed cat in a roomful of rockin’ chairs!..Git’er back home where she belongs cuz heaven to betsy I’s afraid Angelica s gonna get into a heap o trouble cuz she feels her two moms are a separatin’ since Bette’s gone too long.
