She’s found some really creative ways to deliver these acts but this one is sort of bizarre. Why would she have me come all the way here just to go back home to see her?” Tina asked putting the gift and card in her purse.

    “It wasn’t her idea for you to come here that was mine. She just told me to think of a way to get the gift into your hands.” Leigh admitted.

    “OK. Well I’m glad there really wasn’t any damage. I couldn’t imagine that we’d missed something.”

    “No the inspection was pretty thorough. I haven’t found anything that you need worry about. We are free and clear.”

    “Great. How’s everything else otherwise?” Tina asked making small talk.

    “Things couldn’t be better. My show has moved to a new gallery in Monterey. I’m getting a lot of new pieces done now that I have the studio to work in. My job at CU is great. The students are really amazing. We miss Bette terribly but the new Dean is really supportive of her vision so she’s carrying on a lot of what Bette started. I’m meeting a lot of people so my social life is picking up too. So yeah life is good.”

    “That’s great Leigh. I’m really happy for you. I’m sorry I wasn’t so welcoming when you first got here.”

    “Don’t worry about it. It’s water under the bridge as they say. I know you were just protecting Bette. I hope you trust that I would never hurt her again.”

    “I do trust you. You’ve been an amazing friend to her. I know she cares a lot about you.”

    “Thank you Tina. That means a lot coming from you.”

    “Well I mean it. Anyway I need to get going. I have to go see my better half and find out what this final destination deal is all about. I’ll see you in a couple of days.”

    “OK. Thanks for not getting mad about me having you come over here under false pretense.”

    1. Tina is not the only one who is overwhelmed, i have so much emotions running wild, i am surprised with my reaction to this story.

      BAT2012, you for sure are a master in describing everything in detail and i fell in love with your Bette&Tina and the other people in this story.

    2. I’m with BIBI truly overwhelmed at the love and attention BETTE displays in delivering her acts of love.True friends ready to help with only a phone call or a spoken word without looking for anything in return just knowing they helped someone fulfill a wish.thanks pps.

      Mixed emotions regarding the finale tomorrow – looking forward to it but sad that’s it here.

    4. This was one of the best chapters to this story! In my opinion! Even though I love the whole story! I’m sad to see the end tomorrow:( I’m just looking forward to the next phrase of their lives. Off to eat me some strawberry shortcake that I made. PPS
