    Friends ch. 30

She felt great guilt for not waking her wife before she left, like she’d always done. But she wasn’t feeling loving at the moment. She had to take time to think about what she saw last night. She had to gather her thoughts before she could speak to her. She had gone about her morning and afternoon, ignoring all the calls from her wife. Her first meeting was with a documentary film maker, Dylan Moorland. She wasn’t sure if she was Shaolin material, but she decided to meet with her none the less. After lunch she went to her production meeting for Shaolin’s first film. She was deep in concentration when she heard a knock at her door.

“Tina I was wondering if you had a minute.”

“Sure Helena, come in,” she said and Helena made her way in and sat.

    “Are you ok darling?”

    “Yeah, just fucking peachy.”

“You want to tell me about it?”

“Ugh, you really don’t wanna know about my problems.”

“Come on, lay it on me,” Helena said, and Tina dropped her pen. Her eyes started to tear up, “oh come now darling, what is it?”

“I think Bette is cheating on me,” she said and the tears escaped.

“Oh Tina, that can’t be true. I don’t know Bette, but from what I’ve heard, she seems like a fierce lover. Mother speaks so highly of her.”

“She’s just been acting so distant and strange; I can’t help but wonder if it’s true.”

“My poor darling,” she said hugging Tina, “let’s get out of here and have a drink.”

Helena’s driver takes them to one of Helena’s favorite drinking spots, Margaret’s Pub. They sat for a while just talking and enjoying each other’s company. Tina hadn’t intended on drinking at all, she wasn’t sure if she was pregnant, so she took it easy. Then one drink turned into two, then three until she realized she was pretty buzzed. By then Helena was pretty tipsy herself. Tina was enjoying the fact that she could talk to Helena about anything knowing she couldn’t be biased one way or another about Bette or her friends.

“How do you know she’s cheating on you,” Helena asked, putting her drink down.

“Because, she’s being weird, she isn’t herself.”

    1. Boy will Tina be surprised by this news, and I hope she won’t be hurt since they are trying to have their baby now. She shouldn’t have been drinking though that was just plain stupid, mad or not. She has jeopardized her foetus’ health if she is pregnant. Give them a pass this time and let her get pregnant after the next insemination, I would hate to think the baby would be born with developmental and possibly several other problems. Thanks for updating.

    2. I am ready for them to talk-I am glad that Tina rejected Helena, that could have gone so the other way, and Bette defending her wife-way to go girl. Thanks for the update.
