    Friends ch. 32

“I understand that, I would love nothing more than to be a part of your family. I’m done being lost, I need a family, and I need a support system. I really just need my mother. And if I get two for the price of one, then that’s more than ok with me. I want to feel like I belong somewhere.”

“Alexander, we would love it if you were a part of our family. We won’t know for sure for a couple of months, but Tina and I are expecting a child and I would love it,” Bette said looking at Tina and she smiled and nodded her head, “we would love it if you would be the Godfather of our baby.”

    “Really,” he asked, shocked.

“Yes. We would understand if you didn’t want to.”

“Nothing would make me happier. It would be an honor.”

A couple hours went by and they were still sitting in the same spot, talking and laughing with each other. They all exchanged stories of their lives. With each passing second Tina felt more and more comfortable with Alexander. He truly was his mother’s son, such a passionate person, so gracious and determined.

“What are your plans Alexander,” Tina asked.

“Well, I really don’t know. I was attending the University of Illinois in Chicago until I dropped out a couple years ago. I was studying art history with a minor in web design, painting every now and again. But now my plans are up in the air. I want to go back to school.”

“Are you still living in Chicago?”

“Yeah, well kind of. I was living in a studio apartment to which my lease is up this month.”

    “Where are you staying now?”

“Oh, right now I’m at the Riverside Hotel, I’m only paid up until tomorrow. That’s all Franklin would allow,” he said looking at Bette, who shook her head.

“What a jackass, well Tee, if it’s ok with you,” she said looking at Tina, “you could stay in the guest bedroom until you’ve settled somewhere. You could even go to school at California University; they have an amazing art program.”

“Oh, I couldn’t do that. I can’t intrude on you and Tina, especially now that you’re starting a family,” he said shaking his head.

    1. It seems that Tina is taking this so well, maybe a little too well, but I hope the gang is excepting as well. And I can’t wait to see Alice’s reaction.

    2. Excellent update. I can just imagine Alices’ open-mouthed stare. And if it keeps her quiet for awhile, great. Alexander will find that he is a part of a very loving, if quirky as hell, group of women that have made their own family of friends. And the most loyal and accepting group he would never be able to duplicate if he tried. They will always have his back. Hope this story continues for awhile longer, there is so much more left to explore and live’s stories to tell. Loved it. Thanks for posting.

    3. This is my first comment; however, I feel compelled to say that this particular story has “moved” me and I consider it to be a very favorite one! I enjoy this author’s writings, both in style and creative content. Thank you, Ms. Olivia for submitting such enjoyable reading. I fully intend to continue seeking out your stories….even though I am chronilogically way behind! I just found this marvelous website less than a year ago. I have become an avid reader of Fan Fiction……especially The L Word fandom, and, especially again, my beloved couple Tibette. May they never be parted again! Thank you again for filling (along with several other gifted authors, such as Blackbird, et al, that use correct grammer, spelling, complete cogent sentences, etc.) my retirement hours with vicarious pleasantry. Just my 2 cents worth! Keep up the good work!
