Friends ch. 32
“It’s fine,” Tina interjected, “plus Bette and I are already making plans to start construction on the house. We want to build a second story master suite so that our kids will have room.”
“Really? That sounds amazing,” he said and Bette smiled, “I mean if you really don’t mind, that would be great. I promise I’m not a messy person.”
“If you’re like Bette, I’m sure you have a slight OCD when it comes to tidiness,” Tina said and they all laughed.
“This is what I love to see,” Kit said walking up to them, “a nice and happy family. I’m glad you’re all getting along, or else I’d take him and claim him as mine.”
“Thanks Auntie Kit,” he said and Kit smiled and walked away.
“Well, we have a lot of things to do before tonight.”
“What’s tonight,” he asked.
“Well, we’re inviting the family over and I’m going to tell them about you.”
“Oh ok, well, I can wait until tomorrow to bring my things over.”
“No you can still do that today; I want you to meet them. They are very important to me, and I want to be sure they love you as much as I do. Just be at the house at five, dinners not until six.”
Bette gave Alexander the address and they all parted ways. Bette and Tina went to the grocery store and got some essential items for dinner and went home. As they made dinner they conversed about everything that went on that day. Bette wanted to make sure that Tina was ok with everything that was going on. Tina was of course, but was still a little concerned about the baby. They didn’t know for sure if she was pregnant and she didn’t want to get Bette’s hopes up. Bette was so excited to have found her son and she was excited about their baby. She couldn’t bear the thought of another miscarriage and what it would do to them. Alexander had found his way to their house and stayed perfectly hidden until it was time for him to make his entrance. As everyone made their way over to Bette and Tina’s, everyone was wondering why family dinner was on a Thursday instead of Sunday.
“I’m sure that you all would like to know why I’ve asked you here tonight.”
“Oh my God Porter, you’re not GAY are you,” Alice asked, “I mean I always suspected, but I was never really sure.”
“You’re a comedienne Al. No. What I have to tell you guys is very important. I first want to apologize for keeping this secret from you,” Bette said turning to Tina, “Tee, I am very sorry that I’ve kept this from you for so long.”
She turned to look back at their friends. All of them looked at each other, wondering what she could be talking about. Dana was just hoping that Bette wasn’t cheating on Tina. Lara already knew, but she was keeping up the act of not knowing.
“I have kept this from you guys because this was something that was very difficult for me to deal with. It wasn’t really something I ever wanted to share; I just wanted the pain and the hurt to go away. To act as though it never happened.”
“Jesus Porter, are you ok,” Alice asked.
“I’m more than ok. I just need you guys to keep your minds and the love in your hearts open. What I’m about to tell you is difficult, but I hope you guys will understand and realize why I’ve kept this a secret,” she paused and took a deep breath, “without going into great detail, when I was sixteen I got pregnant. Shortly after my son was born, he died or so I thought. It was only until just recently I found out that he in fact did not die and is very much alive and well. He found me and well…” Bette said and Alexander came around the corner. He flashed what was once thought the one of a kind, million dollar, Porter smile. All the girls gasped, and turned to look from Bette to Alexander, the resemblance was there. There was no denying they were related.
“Everyone, this is my son, Alexander.”

It seems that Tina is taking this so well, maybe a little too well, but I hope the gang is excepting as well. And I can’t wait to see Alice’s reaction.
Excellent update. I can just imagine Alices’ open-mouthed stare. And if it keeps her quiet for awhile, great. Alexander will find that he is a part of a very loving, if quirky as hell, group of women that have made their own family of friends. And the most loyal and accepting group he would never be able to duplicate if he tried. They will always have his back. Hope this story continues for awhile longer, there is so much more left to explore and live’s stories to tell. Loved it. Thanks for posting.
Thanks for the update! This story continues to get better and better. PPS!
Love your story.Thank you.
Thanks for the update, enjoyed it. Can’t wait for Alice’s reaction.
Oh damn so good!
This is my first comment; however, I feel compelled to say that this particular story has “moved” me and I consider it to be a very favorite one! I enjoy this author’s writings, both in style and creative content. Thank you, Ms. Olivia for submitting such enjoyable reading. I fully intend to continue seeking out your stories….even though I am chronilogically way behind! I just found this marvelous website less than a year ago. I have become an avid reader of Fan Fiction……especially The L Word fandom, and, especially again, my beloved couple Tibette. May they never be parted again! Thank you again for filling (along with several other gifted authors, such as Blackbird, et al, that use correct grammer, spelling, complete cogent sentences, etc.) my retirement hours with vicarious pleasantry. Just my 2 cents worth! Keep up the good work!
