    Chapter 59 – All in the Family

    As soon as everyone was seated, Alice took the initiative to get the low down on the latest with Tina and Bette. OK so you guys are where? Friends? Dating? Anything else? Alice is working her eyebrows as she says all this with the inquiry definitely out there on the table as Alice get this all out in a rush of questions.

    Alice Tina exclaims Dont embarrass Irene she still thinks highly of you and doesnt know your nature yet. Tina says as the mother in her comes out.

    Yeah Alice let us at least order before you start making implications about things you know nothing about. Bette says with an air of the old bantering that was a natural consequence of their previous encounters in the past.

    Oh I wouldnt bet on that. Shane says as she winks at Irene. Catching Shanes wink, Irene blushes a little which all at the table took note of as they each look around the table.

    So youre dating? Dana says not letting the conversation get off Tina and Bette.

    Bette immediately notices this Dana and looks to Tina who says Well Dana since you asked Yes were dating.

    At that Bette immediately comes in with The extent of Tina and my involvement beyond that is not any of your concern at this time. Bette tried to deliver this line with her usual air of command but the smile on her face as she delivered this line was the tell that gave away everything.

    Kit piped up hearing the line and laughed. What … you expect us to believe that when you cant even say that with any sort of seriousness. You are smiling way too much for any of us to be scared off by your gruffness Litl Sis. I suggest you try a new tact.

    At that the whole gang burst out laughing and thus set the tone for the whole meal as soon after that the waitress come to take their orders. They each spent the next few hours catching up on each others lifes Danas upcoming tournament and how her training was going with her new coach, how happy her sponsors where with her and what her next challenges would be Alice talking about how rocky her relationship was with her editor since she ripped him a new ***** so now shes on these undesirable stories but how she had a plan to come back into good graces and of course the new series of articles based on the MYV Foundations awards Shane with news of her life at the studio and all the odd things she finds out in the process of doing hair. But of course in classic Shane fashion none of it is sensational or too revealing as she keeps all of those finer details to herself.

    2. oh J why would you be nervous about me pissed off about Bette not telling tina??? you have a true fan here and it’s up to you. Since the day I join this site(which was in april) I was hooked. Let me tell you there was about a 3 day period where I didn’t sleep cause I was reading yours and chicki chapters. So now you know, but please just have bette do it for me LOL. ok I trust you and you will make it happen somehow.

      Life has been making it difficult for me to catch up with all these posting but here goes.
      Thanks Jwet for this remarkable story. You had me hooked from Chapter one. I must be a silly fishy as I am still wiggling away in delight on your barb. Gee am paraphrasing fishing quotes. Next I’ll being saying ‘It’s the one that got away’ or “It was this BIG!”
      Note to self ‘must get out more and meet new people’
      Enough of my ramblings and back to this marvellous master-class in story telling.
      Finally Bette and Tina are dating. Yippee! It is time for these gals to take the next step towards reuniting. I revere the slow, deliberate pace you was drawing this out at. It makes it something special. Not the wham, bam, thank you ma’am mentality of some authors.
      What I find really differentiates you from the pack is the genius of staying true to the character created on the show.
      None have gone through 180 deg personality changes.
      Today’s questions include:
      Will Alice ever manage a day without her foot in her mouth? What exactly are Shane and Irene up to? Does the Bridgette Bardo collection win all the girls over? (OK I know it Jenny’s but work with me, people). What does Tina have planned? Why is the fluff from your belly button always blue?
      Keep watching as some of these may be answered in the next chapter.

      I’m getting worried about if/when Tina finds out about Bette’s involvement with MYV. I think it might come out because the receptionist will recognise her at the awards dinner. I think Bette needs to come clean before that happens.

    24. Very sweet picture of family contentment. That has me worried. It means that this applecart’s going to be upset in the near future. Can they maybe have sporks in the road instead? Something safer? (I know…I really don’t want to lessen the drama…there’s just a sense of concern.)

Do you think we can just let Alice find out about the MYV Foundation then out of the goodness of her heart and her genuine desire to see a TiBette happy ending, just put that knowledge aside and not reveal its truths? Huh Jwet, could she, could she –pleeease?
