    Tina frowned deeply twirling the tile samples for the kitchen in her hands. What had Bette meant when she had said she couldn’t forget the time they had spent together? Did the brunette miss the physicality of it all or the level of intimacy Tina was sure she herself had never experienced with anyone before?

    The last week should have gone passed like a dream and her work greatly simplified by the fact that Bette was abroad but Tina couldn’t help it, she missed her.

    She missed hearing her car pulling in front of the house, the flutter she experienced every time she heard the keys turn in the lock. She missed their double entendre peppered conversations. The way Bette would flirt subtly, knowingly or not, during their debates about work. How their hands brushed every so often, how Bette would glance over her shoulder and her breath would warm that spot on her neck and at the same time trigger a million goosebumps.

    Tina knew she had fallen deeply for the financier but she also had lost control of the situation altogether. The more she pretended that she was indifferent to Bette’s charm, the more she sank deeper into the lie she had fabricated.

    Bette was supposed to have been back in the country last Thursday, but the brunette had phoned to let her know that some urgent business she couldn’t possibly renege on would keep her away until the beginning of the following week.

    “But you have to choose the tiles for the kitchen.” Tina had reminded her.

    “Choose them for me.”

    “Me? Out of the question!”

    “Why not? I trust you.”

    So there she was, weighing her option for the tiles to feature on the splash back of the giant cooking range which held pride of place in the kitchen. Bottle green and cream, elegant and simple all at the same time.

    There had to be more to life than this, she thought and she relished the idea that tonight she was finally going to be able to join her friends in a night out to the theatre. She was determined to have a good time and since her two other friends had lined up three dates, one of them could just be what Tina was looking for irrespective of physical appearance or intelligence.

Now that was a interesting chapter…first when i saw Henry name i screamed nooooooo but he actually turned out ok in this one…then came Helena with Bette and i screamed again nooo…sigh got me for a minute there…anyways wow Tina a little harsh but totally understandable, Bette should try in be a little more sincere and less cocky…sigh these two…yes another chapter so soon, gotta love this month

    2. Thanks for posting, you made my day :) Interesting turn of events, Tina starts to voice what she wants. Good for her! And good for Bette that Tina shows at least a little self-confidence and puts a stop to Bette overpowering her like a foal that needs to follow her rules. Bette should start to treat Tina as an adult, maybe she’ll find that Tina will drop the teenage behaviour she sometimes shows. She could try asking her for a date if she’s seriously interested in Tina.
      Anyway I can’t wait to see what you have in mind for the next parts. And, hey, get well soon :)

      Bette needs to realize what she has done to Tina, truly apologize and start respecting her as an equal. She is very cocky and needs to get more in touch with her feelings towards T not just her sexual attraction which evidently is there and at some point must be acted on. Hopefully they will embark on a true relationship at the end.

    15. After that kiss? That’s all she gonna say? Grated Bette is a little forward..But, something happened to the both of
      them. Tina can’t deny that, she can feel that from Bette’s kisses. And the fact remain that Bette is up front of what she feels towards her. Doesn’t that count that she’s not playing with her?
