Can rain be any more wonderful..?

I love rain. I love its fresh earthy scent. I love the sound of it knocking against the worn asphalt pavement. I love the way relentless raindrops soak my hair and tickle my face and how they fall down my cheeks as if they were tears, happy tears. I’d prefer rain over people at any time of the day or night. Rain makes me feel, and I mean, really feel. Rain hides the ugliness of the world we live in and makes everything so beautiful and mystifying.

Imagine that you’re late for work or for your wedding or that your house is on fire. And it’s raining and ruining your wedding hair and impeccable white dress or drenching your work papers, which have fallen out of your briefcase that you’d forgotten to close properly in haste. Would you just take a breather and dance in the rain? Would you sing at the top of your lungs, tossing all your problems away just like that?

I totally would. And I am. Having taken off my high heels, I’m dancing my way along the streets of Manhattan, singing ’I Just Want To Celebrate’ by Rare Earth like nobody’s listening, splashing across large warm puddles with my bare feet. Passerbys with dissatisfied physiognomies peeking out from under their gloomy umbrellas keep giving me judgemental stares as I laugh and sing and shout for joy. Rays of light emanate from my body – this is what called complete and utter happiness, something that people have forbidden themselves to feel due to narrowness of their minds and constraint of their souls. Too uptight to be happy.

Rain is better than people, I’m thinking to myself as I curb walk with my arms spread wide for balance, chanting for the world to know how I want to celebrate another day of living. Suddenly, I catch a glimpse of golden hair fluttering in the air gracefully. Against the background of grey mass I make out a young woman – she radiates with energy, magic and something mysterious, and I get this powerful feeling of necessity at how badly I need to be near her. I jump off the curb and jog toward her, but she just keeps moving away from me. I call out her name, but my voice has weakened for some reason, causing the words to come out almost in a whisper. I call out once more as I chase after her, but again – she doesn’t hear me. ”Why are you running from me?!” I manage to cry out, but she dismisses me by becoming more and more distant. I come to a halt when my chest starts to heave and tingle painfully. Falling down on my knees, I grab my chest and try to fight for breath. I look down at myself and my eyes immediately fill with bitter tears at what I see – my bleeding heart trembles convulsively and eventually cracks into two pieces. Panting, I raise my head as rain washes my tear-stained face.

    1. Hey Valerie:

Happy night for me, reading your precious updated chapter, I love this story, Bette so vain, full of herself, irresponsible, selfish and flighty at the point of being comic, but at the same time so lonely, sad and vulnerable. I think her dream is a premonition of what her future with Tina could be if she doesn’t change; I hope the blonde could help her to grow up. Thank you so much for the wonderful update, and for the long chapter, I know is hard to update quickly but this story is worthy to wait for; please post soon.

    3. BED and BREAKFAST(not)BETTE,when will she learn to keep that zipper closed?,probably never since she ishaving the time of her life playing with every woman she meets except for TINA who doesn’t care for her high handed ways it seems.Gonna take more than lunch to tame this one.THANKS,ps

    4. Hi Valerie !
Money can not buy love or happiness, but it certainly gives that power to Bette find more partners for their sexual adventures … is pleasure; It is fast and momentary. But is not happiness or amor.No background Bette is an unhappy woman.
I think Bette need a more real life, more intense. Happiness can be the most simple things in life. And Tina is the key to happiness.
      All Stars .
      Bear hug.
      Note: excuse my English.
I know how you feel about the language difficulty.
I for example, a more detailed comments, spent around forty or more minutes to make my text a little understandable.

    5. Thank you for this long awaited new Chapter.
Looking forward to future Chapters with Tina having a great influence of this selfish Bette.
I hope the next Chapter will feature Bette and Tina together face to face.

Again thanks and please Post soon.

    6. Read this when first posted, forgot to leave comment. Really like this story. Bette is just too selfish and self centered for words and is a bit of a bully. Somehow I think she is about to have a most surprising encounter of her young life. Tina will be the catalyst that will forge changes in the very self centered heiress, La Bette Porter. Thanks for posting.
