    God Knows Chptr. 1

    ………………………………………………………………..

3 years, 4 months, 17 days and 14 hours ago

Tina opened her eyes to a dark room and dead silence, the silence is what woke her up. She couldn’t stand a quiet home. She ran her hand under the pillows searching for the television remote and huffed when she realized that she’d have to sit up to search for it. As she turned over she caught sight of her girlfriend standing in the doorway wiggling the remote between her fingers at her.

“You’re going to be late.” Bette said throwing the remote at Tina’s side.

“I’m awake.” Tina’s raspy voice indicated otherwise.

“No you’re not.” Bette said as she glanced at the muted television. “What the hell is that?”
Tina looked up at the television and from what she could tell, the channel was National Geographic and they were showcasing the eating habits of some unknown insect.

“Who gives a shit!” Tina snapped her head back to Bette. “Why are you here so fucking early?” Tina could already feel the pressing headache forming above her right eye. But those were the consequences of drinking without much food on your stomach for two days straight.

“Because I work for you! Remember?!” Bette snapped back with more bite than Tina was used to. “Asshole.” Bette’s mutters were cut off by the sound of the shower being turned on in Tina’s nearby bathroom.

    ……………………………………………….

Tina was showered and cleaned up enough to be presentable. Her breakfast of choice that morning was a Brass Monkey. She didn’t usually drink this heavily but her mother had called her last week and wanted to schedule a lunch with her, ever since that curt phone call she’d been drowning away into shot after shot. Bette’s angry driving in and out of the lanes was sure to make Tina early for her therapy appointment. She initially hated having to go see a therapist but it was all a part of her publishing house’s contract. Eventually her therapist broke through on some of her tightly held intentions and thoughts and gained her trust with his nonjudgmental advice.

Bette stopped the car and proceeded to return several phone calls on Tina’s behalf while she made her way into the doctor’s office. If this session was anything like their last 19 sessions she was going to leave there with enough material to write a paragraph and then sit at her desk confused as to why her fingers were unable to type anything more. Or worse why they were unable to type anything substantial or on par with her previous works.

    1. Welcome back Nettababy03!

I have read your previous stories more than once and really Loved them.
So when i logged in and saw you had posted i was really happy.

It seems that in this story Tina is really messed up due to the violence and abuse that happened in her parents relationship and affected her childhood and adult life. And that she is now in a place where she learns to handle her past and her addictions like alcohol?

I am ready to follow your and Tina’s story. And ofcourse Bette and Angie.

      Thanks

    2. Welcome back

Very nice and promising story. I like the portray of Tina fighting her demons from her past with her parents, I like the way Bette takes care of her, the way both complement each other, at least until this point; I feel sorry for the pain Tina is going through and the writer’s block she is suffering, I’m eager to read what happened during her childhood and how she will overcome that and also, how Bette became her wife as indicated in the first part of the chapter. Thank for this story and pps.

    3. Amazing and very interesting start. Bad child hoods and very bad parents are sometimes hard to grow. out of. but she does have Bette watching out for her and loving her even if she doesn’t know Tina’s whole story and neither do we….Yet!..look forward to more Thank you BnT.

    4. Welcome back .
A family with emotional problems, and it seems to me that it affected a lot Tina, where she seeks relief in the drink. And Bette is the only good part of Tina’s life. .
      Great start.
      All Stars .
