    God Knows Chptr. 1

The truth was that Tina was in a very stale writer’s block. She hadn’t written anything that pleased her in months and that alone scared her enough to want another drink at that moment. Before she could go further into that thought her therapist appeared in the waiting room doorway and gave her the small nod indicating that he was ready for her.

    ………………………………………………………….

As usual Bette waited outside with her phone attached to her hand, talking into her earpiece waiting for whatever tangled mess was going to come out of that doctor’s office. When she looked up Tina was pushing the door open and her face was a blank canvas. This wasn’t unusual but her silence and overall aloofness during the drive was. By now Tina should be sober and mentally preparing herself for the early lunch meeting she has with her mother. Her mother, was old Hollywood “Royalty” and she acted as such. She was never satisfied with Tina’s attempts at independence and never understood why she was so camera shy and adamant about being out of the spotlight.

    ………………………………………………………………

They arrived at the restaurant and Tina could see her mother was sitting out front on the patio and extremely early, as usual. She thought she’d at least have enough time to apologize to Bette before she had to go and deal with her mother’s overly analytical critiques about her life thus far. Tina threw her head back into the headrest and turned to Bette as she huffed out a big breath. She did not want to see her mother today, something about today made her want to stay in bed away from her mother’s sharp, often cutting barbs of “love”.
Bette was worried, she could tell. Bette always chewed the corner of her lip or fidgeted with the temperature gauges in the car when she was nervous. She’d already shifted the gauge from mild to warm and back to cool all since she’d pulled up to the valet line. Tina reached her hand before she could change it again and took it into her lap.

    “It’s going to be fine.”

“She looks extra bitchy today.” Tina laughed as she looked over to her mother as she sat straight as a board, oversized sunglasses on, pretending like she doesn’t want the attention, and the ogling that comes with the whispers.

    1. Welcome back Nettababy03!

I have read your previous stories more than once and really Loved them.
So when i logged in and saw you had posted i was really happy.

It seems that in this story Tina is really messed up due to the violence and abuse that happened in her parents relationship and affected her childhood and adult life. And that she is now in a place where she learns to handle her past and her addictions like alcohol?

I am ready to follow your and Tina’s story. And ofcourse Bette and Angie.

      Thanks

    2. Welcome back

Very nice and promising story. I like the portray of Tina fighting her demons from her past with her parents, I like the way Bette takes care of her, the way both complement each other, at least until this point; I feel sorry for the pain Tina is going through and the writer’s block she is suffering, I’m eager to read what happened during her childhood and how she will overcome that and also, how Bette became her wife as indicated in the first part of the chapter. Thank for this story and pps.

    3. Amazing and very interesting start. Bad child hoods and very bad parents are sometimes hard to grow. out of. but she does have Bette watching out for her and loving her even if she doesn’t know Tina’s whole story and neither do we….Yet!..look forward to more Thank you BnT.

    4. Welcome back .
A family with emotional problems, and it seems to me that it affected a lot Tina, where she seeks relief in the drink. And Bette is the only good part of Tina’s life. .
      Great start.
      All Stars .
