The day of the adoption hearing dawned bright and clear. Bette arrived early anxious to sped the most important day of her life along. She sat in a quiet alcove in the Family Court waiting area. She followed the signs that led her to a nursery for the children. Bright colors set off the room and she noted the different types of play areas to accommodate the varied ages of the children that the Court served. It hit her that this was not a happy place. This was a place where couples that once loved one another fought over their children. It was a sad state of affairs. The only happy occasions in this place were when the issue was adoption.
It made her pause when she considered how close they had come to struggling over Angelica in a Court of Law. Thank God that she and Tina had come to their senses before it came to that. The child that they had dreamed of was here. There was no question that they both loved her and would do any and everything for her. There was no question that she needed them both in her life as much as they each needed her.
There were moments when the anger between Tina and her still surfaced. As much as they were committed to Angelica there was still so much unfinished business between them. Bette was grateful that Henry was out of Angelica and if she were honest, Tina’s life. He was insufferable and Bette knew without a doubt if Tina had remained with him and he continued to press for the right to be Angelica’s other parent, as her Father, her life would be over. Bette was sure that if Tina had remained with Henry she would spend the rest of her life in prison because she would succumb to her darker side and murder him.

I can’t believe you made me cry. That was so sweet. Come on can’t we find a way to get mama B and mama T back together.
I agree with Coop…thank you for the happy ending to the custody situation…but we need happiness with Bette & Tina.
Awwwww, so sweet! I feel all warm and fuzzy inside :D Loved the chap. It would make me even more happy if B & T got back together. Which i’m guessing they want to, if the glances and everything else are anything to go by. PPS

Tears of joy welled in my eyes. Angelica calling for her mamma and then her mommy was heart warming. The hug that Tina gave Bette reminded me of the hug in season 3. The hope that you saw in both women. Can I dare hope that there is that same feeling in today’s Bette and Tina’s hug?
