Sensing Bette’s hesitation, Tina moves away from the bedroom doorframe and enters the room. Looking at her back she can see how fragile Bette looks, swaying a little while she stands in place. Compassion grips Tina’s heart, she has never in her life seen this version of Bette. Bette has changed so much over the last 6 months, Tina is uncertain if she holds any power over her. Right now she prays she still has a little sway left. They need to take a first step together and right now Tina would settle for just sitting down and being with each other. She has made her plea to Bette but she feels as if she’s loosing ground.
“Let’s go sit in the shade by the pool. It is such a glorious day I thought we could spend some time together.”
There is a moment where neither moved, a moment that seemed like eternity. Tina prayed that Bette would turn around, turn around and look at her.
The gentle nature of Tina’s request gets Bette to do just that, to turn and finally look at Tina. With Bette’s turn Tina could finally see into her eyes. What she saw twisted the strings tied to Tina’s heart. Bette’s eyes spoke to Tina of fear. She looks lost for sure but Tina could see dread, terror and near panic. Sensing the need to sooth Bette’s being, Tina moves swiftly to Bette’s side. She places a hand on Bette’s shoulder and lets it slide down her back in a gentle stroke in the hopes of easing Bette’s fears.
“We’ll take it slow Bette. Babe it will be OK. Really.”
Bette can only nod. Tina’s presence along with her supporting posture is all her body can comprehend right now and it feels good. At this moment she would follow Tina anywhere.
Tina knew the instant Bette gave in and agreed to come with her. She saw it in Bette’s eyes, her willingness, her ease of movement. All of this came from Tina’s actions to calm Bette’s inner soul. Bette only wanted to comply to Tina’s wishes. It was all there. Taking this keenness as a positive sign, Tina broadens her smile. Shining it at Bette, Tina gathered hope from the effect it had on her. This was a Bette she could move mountains with but first she had to get her stronger.

Okay, here we go. Bette took step 1, throwing the pills out. Now comes the hard part, staying away from them. It is so heartbreaking to watch someone you love have to battle that addiction every minute of every day! PPS.
Well done Bette for choosing not to take the drugs. Well done. I knw it is difficult but you are not alone anymore Tina’s back.PPVS

Bette took the first step and threw out the pills. Let’s just hope she makes it through the next steps, staying away from them and re-joining civilization. PPS

Glad that Bette flushed the pills and I know Tina has figured out that is what she has done and is beside herself with joy over that happening. Let’s just hope with Tina’s love and strength Bette can stay off them and refuses when Shane offers again. In fact, I hope Shane gets caught by Tina when she does offer to help Bette get the drugs again. She should be horse-whipped, she knows better. Tina also understands how she has helped helena hurt Bette and is trying to make amends by helping Bette and by getting the info that hopefully will bring helena down. Yes, Candy should leave town but not before helping Tina get her. Hopefully the info she has given Alice will be a big help but she will have to be very careful because obviously helena is having her watched night and day. Can hardly wait to see what happens next with everyone. Fantastic chapter.
Thank you for the hope that Bette has finally showed. Some how, some way Helena Peabody is going down for the count. I only hope that Bette and Tina will have front row seats and sharing their lives when the show down comes about.

Hey JWet, Again you have surpassed your own height standards as this tale of woe and redemption continues.It seems like Bette has finally hit rock bottom. She is a mere shadow of the Alpha-Bette that Tina fell in love with. It is heartbreaking for Tina to accept the part she played in this downfall.Confused and dis-oriented Bette was still aware of Tina’s presence and its ability to calm and comfort her. This ESP was wonderful to witness.I firmly believe that it is a great deal easier to believe in yourself if someone else believes in you first.Tina is the anchor for Bette’s psyche.It was like Bette coming home when Tina touched her. Suddenly the mists began to clear and hope returned.I was tearful as Bette managed to flush away the poisons from her life.I hope the shower can continue the job and wash away the dirt from Bette’s heart and mind as well as her skin.And then CandiAss’s comeuppance has beyond. I know that it is Helena that has put this plan into action for her own gains. Candace is reaping what she has sown. I just hope that she has given Alice enough to help bring Helena dow.So many intruging and exciting threads blended together by a Mistress of Melodrama. JWet, the rainbow of feeling you emote so well. I am completely on tenderhooks, sitting on the edge of my chair and then so disappointed when it stopped so suddenly. Wow! Great chapter. I was surprised that Bette threw away the pills but it sounds like a step in the right direction for her. Tina still seems to have Bette’s number and the ability to soothe her tempered soul.
bringing Bette back from dead is surely sthg only T can do. Who is warning Candy? I want Candy to do damage to Helena. Love it. Thx.
