    Bette walks away, and Yolanda enters Kit’s office. “What the hell is the matter with you? Are you trying to spoil our chances of getting this job? I know we can come to an agreement on price but if you can’t control your libido we’re going to lose the chance to even try.”

    “What the hell are you talking about? I just asked about her girlfriend. I don’t know why she is so upset.”

    “Don’t give me that bullshit Candace. I know you and I’ve been watching you. You’re leering. You insert sexual innuendo in your conversation every chance you get. I saw how your fingers always seem to graze hers when you were looking at the plans. I’m surprised she’s even considering our firm after the shit you told me you pulled at the school Chancellor’s party.”

    “Hey she didn’t tell me anything about this job when I met her. She only called after doing some research and finding out about us.”

    “And I’m sure she assumed that you would be professional in a business negotiation. Look Candace you are one of the best architectural designers in the field. We’ve done some amazing work and I think we can do an incredible job with this project, but I’m about at my limit with you. If you can’t get it under control to where you are not offending clients or having employees accuse you of sexual harassment I’m going to have to cut you lose. Evelyn from Design Ventures has been making some inquiries about maybe teaming up and her offer is looking pretty good right now. Bette’s made it crystal clear that she isn’t interested so back off OK?”

    “Fine but who is this woman she’s with? I mean from what I hear she broke up with Jodi Lerner like two months ago and she is already with a life-partner? It’s got to be a rebound.”

    4. Too bad the show didn’t go this way. Bette is certainly clear of her intentions of not being disloyal to Tina. They have mutual love and respect for each other. Excellent chapter that was substantive. Can’t wait for more.

    6. Fantastic chapter, thank you for letting Bette and Yolanda tell her off and kick her behind to the curb. She is as bad as some scurvy assed men that have no respect for women nor themselves. IC should have done the same thing rather than pandering to the male viewers, and the male suits with the network. There were so many avenues they could have taken and the show would have been fine and could have run longer. Rant over. Thanks for posting. Love your very frequent posts.

    9. Although some ass kicking would’ve been fun, I think this way really hurt Candace more. Way to go Bette, Tina and Yolanda. Candace should be happy that Kit didn’t interfere. She would be dead meat……..
