The door opened and a man she had never seen before came inside the room.

“Follow me” He said taking her by the elbow and making sure she was walking behind him and not by his side, “Stay back and keep your eyes opened”.

“Where are we going?, What’s going on?” Tina could feel the fear creeping up her spine, she was right, the noises were gunshots, she was able to distinguish them as soon as she stepped out to the hallway they were currently in.

“Time to leave Tina” He whispered and started walking faster through the cabin taking advantage of the emptiness. To Tina it seemed like these noises had been going on for a really long time but now with the words this man had just said it seemed like time was passing by even slower.

They reached a door and Andre opened it leading Tina inside, when he closed the door he moved quickly towards three figures that were lying in the floor next to a corner, Tina’s world started to spin, there in the floor lay both her mother and father in law all covered in blood.

Sitting next to the bodies was Bette, her wife sat there holding  both her mother and father’s hand staring blankly at the far away wall with tears running down her cheek.

“Babe!” Tina practically yelled rushing past Andre and kneeling next to her wife touching her body looking for any wound. “Bette, what happened?” she asked placing her hands on her wife’s cheeks.

Bette sat there staring forward not listening to any word, she was trapped in her own world where she could only hear gunshots, screams, loud bangs and the only thing she could see was her parents covered in blood, her mind racing trying to reach Tina but not noticing she was already there by her side.

“Bette” Tina moved Bette’s head forcing her to look at her, “Babe can you hear me?” Tina shook Bette slightly, “Bette come on, answer me honey!”

“She’s in shock” Andre said in a low voice from Melvin’s side, “I don’t know how they got here but she found Melvin and I in here and I found her mother laying lifeless near some stairs when i was on my way to bring you”.
