Tina’s eyes filled with tears, she pulled her wife into her body and hugged her tightly, after a few seconds she let go of the embrace, snaked one arm around Bette’s waist keeping her close and stroked her hair with her other hand while crying the death of her parents in law and her wife’s state.

“What are we going to do now?” She asked a while later.

“Wait, it won’t be long, I can’t hear any more noise so i believe the police will search the cabin any minute now.” Andre was sitting close to Melvin’s body and kept looking towards the door.

“It’s been a long time already”

“There were many men here Tina, we were lucky that none of them were inside the cabin while we were moving around”.

“Who are you?” Tina was getting anxious about this man, Why was he helping? not that she didn’t appreciate it but she wanted answers that would explain all this including her in law’s death.

“My name is Andre” He said turning his head to face Tina.

“Why are you helping us?” Tina was still holding her wife and Bette was still holding her parent’s hands and crying silently, her eyes opened but focused on the other end of the room not noticing the arms that held her.

Just when Andre was about to answer the door swung open and two armed policemen came inside the room, they quickly noticed the bodies lying on the floor, Bette in a shock state, Tina and Andre. The men walked in and started examining and asking questions after a couple of minutes they escorted Andre, Bette and Tina outside the cabin, Bette was placed in an ambulance and Tina road with her never letting go of her hand but not before making sure that Melvin and Maxine’s bodies  were also taken care of.

Andre was placed in a police car and was taken to the police station for his statement.

Ten days had past and Bette was still in a state, she had been sent home from the hospital and Tina had been told that she needed time, “She is in a trance that her own mind build for herself, she’ll come when she’s ready” The doctor had said so Tina was being patient and waiting on her lover.
