                Bette was breathing heavily by the time she reoriented herself to the present.  Yes, she and Tina had hot indescribable love making fests.  They had a deep and tender love as well.  When she met Tina’s eyes she saw the love and the longing.  It tore her up inside.  Tina had stopped talking directly about them being back together but Bette knew that she still wanted them to be together as a family.  She still questioned whether or not she wanted that for herself or for Angelica. 

     

                There was still the pain and damage of their separation that had to be worked through.  It seemed like they were actually becoming friends and again and she liked family night.  She allowed the smile accompanying the memory of Tina’s first concession to reach her eyes when Alice broke the moment.

     

                “Hey you two, what’s shaking?”

     

                “Hi Al good to see you” Bette greeted her with a kiss and a quick hug, silently thanking the woman for coming to her rescue. 

     

                “Yeah, it’s good to see you.  I know Bette called you so you can drop the act.”

     

                “What!” Alice feigned outraged innocence. 

     

                “Don’t let the lighting strike you.” Tina warned.

     

                “So what’s the story, who is that hot babe over there trying to cozy up to your woman Bette?  Kay looks like she wants to kill her, is she after you too Tina?”

     

                Tina laughed.  “That hot babe is Theresa Kirkland and she is an old friend of Rosanna’s that I don’t think Kay likes too much.”

     

                “Really, why?”  Bette cut in, this was news to her.

     

                “Apparently she broke Rosanna’s heart pretty badly back in the day and Kay was left to pick up the pieces.” Tina supplied.

     

                “So” Alice stated bluntly.  “I picked up the pieces of both your hearts when you two idiots smashed them and I have no animosity for either of you.”

     

                “I am not an idiot.” Bette shot back.

     

                “You were then.”  Alice dared her to refute her. Bette just gave her a glare.  Turning to Tina she simply said “Don’t even go there.”

    2. I guess I lost. However, I did not get the feeling that Tina was being vendictive. I thought she was only trying to find a way for her and Bette to get together while playing their friendly game.

    5. Rosanna must be thrilled, with all these women ready to throw down for her. Meanwhile Tina sits by, un-fought for, contemplating the utter failure of her little game. Rosanna 3, Tina 0. Think up a new plan, TK. That one’s got no mileage… or does it? Maybe she’s sown the seeds of destruction, and is just biding her time to reap the harvest. We’ll see, hmmm? Oh, and I almost didn’t catch it, kelika, about the closets… heh, of course I don’t mind. Great chapter, keep em coming please. Thanks, kelika.

    7. Hey Kelika, There is just so much going on in this terrific tale that I am leaft breathless after every new chapter. I do think that there will be words between all of these gals and when the dust settles some relationships will be in tatters; others will be rekindled and some just starting our but strengthened by the experience.     8. OF COURSE Tina started the game! But I do love how, no matter what, Bette is the leader of the gang… well, aside from a time in s2, but we’re going to pretend that never happened… And I adore that song. I used to drive around at night all the time with one of my friends playing it. :)
