“I look forward to getting to know your family Tina. If they will allow me?”
“Mom I got the jitters before I came here. I didn’t want to come…It is Bette you have to thank for me being here…She made me give you a chance..She made me promise her that I’d give you a chance to explain and Bette also made me swear I’d hear you out!” The blonde said honestly
Mrs Kennard was nonplussed with Tina’s admission, it was as if she expected the brunette to talk tina round..
“I was so glad when I heard you and Bette had got back together…All those women Tina!- Tut! Tut!!! – I thought your father and I had at least brought you up to be monogamous! Mrs Kennard joked then continued turning serious “I was really worried about you…I was too weak to travel or I would have tried to talk some sense into you…I would have sent your father..but he would have spent more time in admiration of your prowness, or worse.. drooling in awe of the girls you picked up!”
Tina laughed then said “How do you know about the women?”
“I have my ways…I always kept tabs on you..It was me who paid your medical bills, and I bought you the car you drove..It was also me who phoned Shaolin Studios in Carolina, and let them know you had moved back up here…I made the M.D at the studio aware that he would have to be crazy not to offer you a job…After all the great work you had done for them previously in LA!..The Managing Director was familiar with your work and said he would most definitely snap you up..He is a lovely man!!”
Tina was once again shocked by the things her mother informed her “I though Kayleigh’s family gave me the car and paid the medical bills, and I though it was pure luck when I got a phone call from Shaolin!”
“Oh I’m sure they would have called if they knew you were back anyway…and re the car I made the Scott’s promise not to tell you…I knew you would not except any help from me…I also gave them money for your upkeep -,they didn’t want to take it, but again I insisted..The Scott’s are such a caring family..They all absolutely adore you!” Mrs Kennard said proudly

I am glad that Tina had that heart to heart talk with her mother. Even though they don’t share much time together the past can be placed on the back burner and they can move forward.
Hope the apology is truly sincere and heartfelt because I don’t believe her for one moment. She has been so very vitrolic in her comments against Tina dn Bette and I don’t for one minute believe she has changed that much. For her sake, I hope she has. I just don’t want her to lull everyone into believing she has changed and then wham do something to hurt them again. I wouldn’t put it past her to ask Bette to leave Tina as a dying wish. Leopards don’t change their spots at all. It was a well written chapter. PPS

Such a well written chapter – I too wish that Chrissy had not waited until she was on death’s doorstep to make amends to her daughter, Bette, and her granddaughter. I think Chrissy must be every bit as stubborn as Bette! Losing her mother so soon after coming together again will be extremely difficult for Tina. I look forward to finding out where you take the story…
