I Will Not Let You Fall

”It’s okay,” Dr. Flemming reassured softly.

”I uh…” Tina stammered. ”I have nobody to talk to. I mean–I have, but I can’t talk to them about this. That’s why I’m here.”

    ”What troubles you?”

”I’m dating someone…” Tina started guardedly and paused.

    ”Mm-hmm,” Dr. Flemming encouraged.

    ”…and she’s uh–well, she’s engaged in criminal activity…”

The therapist didn’t seem surprised, she just continued observing Tina thoughtfully.

The blonde sighed and shrugged. ”I don’t know what to say anymore other than that I’m scared and…” she silenced herself, leaving the sentence trailing in mid-air.

    ”And what?”

”I wanted to say that I don’t know what to do, but that’s not true.”

    ”It isn’t?”

”No,” Tina shook her head. ”I know that I want to be with her and I will. I don’t want to leave her.”

    ”Is there a reason?”

    ”What do you mean?”

”A reason you don’t want to leave her? Is it pity, love, maybe something else?”

”It’s love and has always been love. She’s the love of my life.”

Dr. Flemming quickly made notes in her pad again. ”What about pity? Do you pity her?”

Tina thought for a moment. ”I don’t think so. Well… Not pity for sure. More like compassion.”

”How long have you been seeing each other?”

”For seven months…with a break,” Tina replied, beginning to feel more and more at ease chatting with her counselor. It was so good to finally talk to someone about her worries.

The woman nodded, making notes. ”Did you know about her involvement in illegal activity when you met her?”

Tina shook her head slowly. ”I found out just a month and a half ago.”

”When you met her, would you continue seeing her if you found out then?”

”Of course not!” Tina claimed rather eagerly. ”I respect the law very much. I would have stopped dating her immediately.”

”Alright,” Dr. Flemming said and cleared her throat. ”Do you mind if I ask you what kind of criminal activity she’s engaged in?”

Tina scratched the back of her hand with a slight grimace. ”Uh, something about sex and drug trafficking…”

Dr. Flemming shifted in her seat. ”Wow,” she said. ”That’s serious.”

Tina threw her hands up in defeat, letting them land on her lap. ”I know,” she sighed.

    1. Wow Valerie, this is too hard, I like how you are taking them down and even downer and it would be a masterpiece to redeem them up. Thanks for the long chapter and waiting anxious for the update. Waiting also for an update your other story

    2. Oh Valerie, you are slowly breaking my heart! How are they ever be able to come out to the good side?

Sometimes it is better to carry someone in your heart and not be in their lives, so true spoken, but again it will break my heart if Tina decided to leave Bette and try to live a normal life.

I still hope that Bette is a undercover agent and not the criminal like she is.

I think Bette should be careful about Tasha, i don’t trust her like Bette.

Thanks for a incredible update again and i look forward to the update on your other story!

    3. Thanks for the update! Happy to see that you still continue :)
But there seem to be no more silver linings at the horizont for Tina and Bette. Bette has to start changing, getting her act together and working on pulling herself out of this mess.
Tina deserves better than a girlfriend who states that she has to run from her or accept the circumstances.
I can’t imagine a way they could survive this mess.

I’m kind of despressed right now but I hope that you will soon continue with you story and give us some positive moments :)
