I Will Not Let You Fall

”Fine. I’ll ask her, but won’t promise you anything,” Tina stated into the phone while walking down the hallway towards Bette’s apartment. She was clutching stuffed full grocery bags in both her arms with her phone pressed between her shoulder and ear. She rolled her eyes, listening to Alice’s incessant trivial monologue on the other side of the line. ”Listen, Al, I’m about to go inside, so I’m gonna hang up now– I said I won’t promise you anything, I’ll try my best to talk her into it, okay?” Tina said with building exasperation in her voice. When Alice ignored her and kept blabbering, the blonde shouted out into the phone, ”I’m hanging up, BYE!”

As she tried hard to grasp the grocery bags in one of her arms somehow, Tina ended the call, muttering expletives. She pulled a key out of her jacket pocket and proceeded to open the door. The arm that was holding the groceries started to shake involuntarily due to the heavy weight and, before Tina could shift the load, the bags collapsed to the floor, which was followed by some of the items being scattered.

”Fuck!” Tina cried out, angry and out of breath. She crouched down to collect everything together.

In no time the door that the blonde had succeeded to unlock before the accident happened was spread wide open with a cross-looking Bette standing in the doorway, eyeing the mess in front of her disapprovingly. She squatted down to help her frustrated girlfriend.

”You’re tongue-tied or what? Couldn’t you call and ask me to come down and help you carry the bags?” the brunette wondered brusquely.

Tina chose to close her eyes to Bette’s tone. ”I was planning to, but Alice was talking my ear off on the phone.”

”Oh, that’s great. So you considered it important to take Alice’s call, but not mine?” Bette lifted both bags, turned her back to the frowning blonde and marched into the apartment toward the kitchen.

Tina followed behind. ”You called me?” she asked, confused. Checking her phone, she found out there were three missed calls from Bette. By looking at the time of the calls Tina became aware that she had been at the therapy session right then.

The puzzled blonde entered the kitchen just as Bette was putting the bags down on the table. ”I have no idea how I could’ve overlooked them, it must’ve been–”

    1. Wow Valerie, this is too hard, I like how you are taking them down and even downer and it would be a masterpiece to redeem them up. Thanks for the long chapter and waiting anxious for the update. Waiting also for an update your other story

    2. Oh Valerie, you are slowly breaking my heart! How are they ever be able to come out to the good side?

Sometimes it is better to carry someone in your heart and not be in their lives, so true spoken, but again it will break my heart if Tina decided to leave Bette and try to live a normal life.

I still hope that Bette is a undercover agent and not the criminal like she is.

I think Bette should be careful about Tasha, i don’t trust her like Bette.

Thanks for a incredible update again and i look forward to the update on your other story!

    3. Thanks for the update! Happy to see that you still continue :)
But there seem to be no more silver linings at the horizont for Tina and Bette. Bette has to start changing, getting her act together and working on pulling herself out of this mess.
Tina deserves better than a girlfriend who states that she has to run from her or accept the circumstances.
I can’t imagine a way they could survive this mess.

I’m kind of despressed right now but I hope that you will soon continue with you story and give us some positive moments :)

    4. Valerie My God!
