”Bette? Bette? Are you staying over for some drinks?” Shane knocked her out of her reverie.

”Um…yeah” Bette replied in a slight daze.

Explaining the whole situation to Helena inside the bar had been absolutely simple, and, surprisingly to everyone, Helena didn’t seem to care anymore. Considering the fact that Helena had already drunk several, it was not surprising after all.

Wetting the whistle herself, Bette made a decision to text Tina eventually.

Bette looked up and saw a woman bending over to her. The brunette finished the remaining liquid in her glass of whiskey and stood up. ”No” She responded to the woman dismissively. Then she glanced over at her quite entertained partners and called out to them through the loud music. ”I’m out of here!”

Shane and Helena waved her away and continued their make out sessions with some girls.

Tina shivered slightly, when cool night air touched her skin, despite the fact that she wore a woolen sweater. She switched the porch light on and waited for Bette. The brunette had promised to be at her house in ten minutes, but Tina already began to have doubts that she’ll be on time. Nine minutes had passed since Bette’s last message.

As Tina started typing on her phone, she noticed a gleam from car headlights. It was Bette’s black Lexus.

The thrilled blonde let loose a broad smile, when Bette passed through the creaking gate, cringing from the unpleasant and rather noisy sound.

”Sorry, we are planning to repair it” Tina said in a hushed tone.

Bette climbed up the stairs and smiled too. ”Hey”

”Hey” The blonde whispered.

”I hope it’s no trouble for you that I came here so late. I just wanted to kiss you goodnight”

Bette gently closed the distance between herself and Tina, capturing her lips tenderly and staying that way for a few seconds before she pulled away.

”Goodnight” Bette murmured, turning around, ready to go.

Tina frowned. ”You stop right this sec, Bette Porter”
