I Will Not Let You Fall

”Tina, what’s wrong?” Bette asked, her tone dead serious. ”Where are you?”

    ”I’m at home”

”You are in a bad mood? Why are you talking to me like that?”

Bette’s voice sounded assertive, but very much concerned. The blonde felt a lump in her throat again and tried to swallow it. Tina had no idea how to explain everything to Bette, so that the brunette would not think she was insane. She heard Bette sigh in frustration.

”Tina, the reason I am actually calling is to ask what time am I expected at the dinner tomorrow. If I’m still expected, of course.”

”Um” The blonde emitted mildly. ”Yes, of course, you are expected, Bette… The dinner is at seven” Tina couldn’t believe what was happening. Bette actually remembered about the dinner.

”Alright… Do you want me to be there?”

”Do you want to be there?”

”Yes, I do. But as long as you want me to be there”

Tina got teary-eyed. What a fool she had been, she couldn’t believe herself. She was so conflicted, wallowing in self-pity, she hadn’t even realized that she was jumping into so many illogical conclusions. She felt like a complete idiot.

”I’m sorry, Bette” She said weakly. ”I do want you to have dinner with us tomorrow, I’m sorry” The blonde finished, not able to hold her tears anymore.

”Baby, why are you crying? Please, talk to me and I’ll make it better”

Tina’s heart melted at Bette’s sweet voice. She chuckled through the tears, which already had turned into happy ones. ”I think I’m pmsing”

Bette laughed and Tina thought she heard the brunette mumble ’women’ under her breath. That got the blonde even more cheered up.

”Oh believe me, sweetie, you have it decent enough, alright, ’cause you wouldn’t want to be anywhere near me, when I am pmsing. Just sayin’” Bette joked, chuckling free and easy.

”You know what else I’m just sayin’, babe?” The brunette continued.

”No, what?” Tina asked curiously, fully interested.

”I love you” Bette said surely. ”And I would love nothing more right now than to kiss you, take you into my arms and then kiss you again”

”Oh baby..” Tina whispered, overwhelmed with her own feelings. ”I love you too, so much. I keep wondering how I got so friggin’ lucky”

    1. Ok, i think they should have a talk. Tina doesn’t know much about Bette, but i believe they really love each other, but Bette should be honest with Tina about her past and her job, before Tina’s dad discover it.

      Great story.

    2. I agree with Bibi28 they should sit and talk. What Im afraid is Albert might interrogate her at the dinner? Bette sounds like she can be a good person so Im hoping for a good twist.
