I Will Not Let You Fall

    ”Same here, Tee, same here”

The couple chatted a bit more until Bette had to go to work, promising to get in touch the next day before the dinner.

Tina glanced at her laptop, where the display pointer stood on Helena’s photo, waiting for the further operation. But Tina didn’t want to do it already. What good would it be if she viewed those pictures? Everybody has past, including Bette. The brunette had girlfriends, so what? Deal with that. Now she wanted Tina, and it was all that mattered to the blonde.

As soon as she closed the laptop to get ready for some reading, she heard a knock.

”Christina, open the door, please” She heard her father’s deep voice.

Frowning, Tina did as was told. Albert stepped into the room, walking over to the couch.

”We need to talk. You must be aware about what and whom.” The man indicated, sitting down and crossing his legs, taking his best professional stance.

Tina loved her father. She adored him and respected him a great deal. Albert Kennard was a big bad banker at work, but at home he was a loving family man. He worked a lot and Tina missed him through the years that he had been absent at dinners and sometimes at nights to read a story to her. But when he was appointed as the head of the department of one major bank, Albert set his priorities and that was his family. He and Tina’s mother, Amy, were very successful at raising their eldest son, Steven, who was four years older, than Tina, and who graduated with honors from UCLA with a finance degree. His parents and siblings were very proud of him.

One thing that Tina had no doubt about is that her family, her father and mother in particular, were somewhat disappointed in her, when she came out to them one year ago. If Amy grew to deal with it positively, Albert had a hard time. He was sure that homosexuality was a phase for his eldest daughter, though he never told Tina about his convictions and tried to give as much support as he was able give.

”Dad, I actually can only guess what do you want to talk with me about. It’s Bette, right?” The blonde said as she took a seat on a bed side, facing her father.

    1. Ok, i think they should have a talk. Tina doesn’t know much about Bette, but i believe they really love each other, but Bette should be honest with Tina about her past and her job, before Tina’s dad discover it.

      Great story.

    2. I agree with Bibi28 they should sit and talk. What Im afraid is Albert might interrogate her at the dinner? Bette sounds like she can be a good person so Im hoping for a good twist.
