    How do you make love to a woman???

    Previously…

    “What do you mean that there are some questions that Milaine cant answer for you?”

    “Well…” All of a sudden, Dani felt incredibly shy. She lowered her head and stared at her fidgeting hands, that were laying in her lap. Swallowing hard, she managed to mumble…

    “Well…Milaine cant tell me what its like to make love to a woman.”

    Gulp…

     

    Revisited…Chapter 2

     

    “A woman?” Bette barely breathed out the question.

    “Yeah,” Dani whispered back.

    Bette looked out at the park, not really focusing on anything. Then, in an abrupt move, she grabbed Danis arm, pulling her up off the bench. Without saying another word, she started walking as fast as possible, making her way back the way they had just come, dragging Dani with her, who had to practically run just to keep up with the taller woman.

    Dani was confused by Bettes drastic change in demeanor. “MaBe, whats wrong?”

    She got no response from Bette, who was clearly on a mission, her laser like eyes locked on, and burning a hole in her Mercedes.

    Dani, was beside herself now with worry. Why was MaBe acting like this? She thought that her parents would be okay with the fact that she was attracted to girls, as well as boys. And, once she declared her interest in dating someone of the same *****, she certainly hadnt expected to be flying across the parking lot, with MaBe holding onto her wrist with a vise-like grip.

    “MaBe…are you mad at me?” Dani was starting to breath heavier, the eighteen year old clearly not in as good as shape as her fifty five year old step-mother, as they raced across the parking lot to the safety of Bettes car.

    The worried tone of Danis voice finally broke through Bettes trance-like expression. She stopped walking, causing Dani to plow into her right side, which cause them both to stumble forward a couple of feet. Once they had regained their balance, Bette let go of Danis wrist and brought her hand up to the teenagers shoulder.

    “Oh, honey…no, Im not mad at you…never! I just…” Bette stopped for a moment to look into Danis eyes. Her eyes started to tear up, and she reached out to stroke the young womans cheek, letting out the embarrassed chuckle that had been caught in her throat. “Im sorry…you just totally caught me off guard with that statement…and…well…I just think that this is definitely a conversation that needs to include you mother. Its important…for both of you that she be included in this…okay? Im sorry,” she repeated. “I didnt mean to scare you.”

      It is such a pleasure to read this story as you have taken B&T through rediscovery, reaffirmation of undying love, long distance relationship, Tina’s decision to out herself to her children and their father, a medical crisis, their ability to finally, make a home together and now being faced with a parents most dreaded time, having to discuss sex with your child. Not that the discussion in and of itself,is any more uncomfortable than the realization that your child is no longer a “child”. Sincerely hope that your “writers block” is gone. I would love to see you take this story into the twilight of B&T’s life….with new generations coming into their family, in a future world where same sex marriages are as common as heterosexual ones.
