    Helena had showered and changed and went down to find her mother . Peggy was sitting at a table under a huge umbrella. The table was set for a meal – the centre of the table was full of bowls of fruit.
    “Is this just round the corner from the bedrooms ?”
    “Yes – what do you think of the place ?”
    “Its wonderful “
    Helena sat down and regarded Peggy’s tall glass
    “How alcoholic is that ?”
    “Reasonably – would you like one ?”
    “Well a drink would be very nice thank you mother “
    Peggy got up and went to a trolley on wheels beside the table. She neatly prepared two drinks and handed one to her daughter
    “What do you think Bette and Tina will have ?”
    “Do you have anything with bromide ?”
    Peggy chuckled “ She seems smitten “
    “You have no idea how smitten she is “
    “Tell me – Tina seems a very polite young woman “

    “How did they meet ?”
    “I think you will enjoy Bette telling that story – its amusing “
    “Okay – anything I need to know ?”

    “Her mother is a very high power lawyer in New York – her other mom died a few years ago which seems to have been the start of her decline. She is very well educated but she’s not got the best possible job. I know that she is aware that she could be doing more – but she has lost her way. “
    “And how does Bette feel for her ?”
    “You will see it for yourself but “ Helena glanced around to make sure they were not about to be disturbed “I’ve never seen Bette like this before “
    Peggy raised an eyebrow “ Really ?”
    “I know Bette better than Bette knows herself most of the time. I knew that she was in love with Tina well before she admitted it – I knew they were both in love before they admitted it to one another. If you want me to go for my hat trick prediction its simple – Tina is the one for Bette “
    Peggy whistled “ Well – I value your assessments Helena “
    “I am not wrong mom – Tina and Bette “ she sighed “ They just have something “
    “Lots of sex ?”
    “That -of course but – well I would be interested to see what you thought. Tina is wrecked by self doubt and Bette is busy trying to act like her father and she isn’t about to say or do anything that might scare Tina off but “ Helena sipped her drink “They have something special. Tina appreciates Bette’s gallantness “
    “Ah – her downfall on so many occasions “
    “Exactly “ Helena said
    “And did you say that Rosemary and Melvin do not know ?”
    “No “
    “And how does that sit with Bette ?”
    “Badly – I had dinner with her last week and its bothering her more than I suspect she is willing to admit to Tina. Emma – that’s Tina’s mom is trying to get Tina hooked up with Bette as well as me “
    Peggy’s eyebrow shot up “ What ?”
    “Hello “
    Peggy and Helena turned to see Bette and Tina emerging from the house. She got up to greet them
    “Hello darlings – come and sit down – lunch will be in a few minutes – how about a drink?”
    “Will it be one of your specialist cocktails ?” Bette asked
    “Probably – are you game for that Tina ?”
    “I will try anything once “ Tina said winking at Helena which caused Bette to laugh out loud
    “Did I miss something ?” Peggy asked seeing her daughter looking slightly embarrassed
    “I am just learning how to handle Helena “ Tina replied “Let me see what you are putting in this drink “
    Bette sat down facing her best friend and grinned at her
    “Not interested ?”
    “No and if I even look at her in the wrong way I will be getting used to hospital food “ Helena replied
    “Just teasing you “ Bette replied.
    Tina and Peggy soon came to the table with two drinks . Peggy regarded the three young women – it made her happy to have Bette and Helena together and she was fascinated to discover as much as she could about the blonde who could well become a permanent feature in the life of the woman she regarded as her second daughter. This was going to be a very interesting few days

      Thank you so much for another chapter of This great story!!!!

      We are also being battered by Ciara and nothing is more relaxing than reading and lounging on the couch!

      So i wouldn’t mind another update today!

      Glad that Peggy seems to like Tina. And hooray for Tina to tell Emma off, i really don’t like her. She should support Tina instead to put her down and trying to fix her up to a rich woman,

      I am looking forward to the next chapter!

    2. This is a really good chapter. Tina finally stood up to her mother. She is communicating with Bette better. Bette needs to allow Tina to continue her thoughts about her mother and their coming out. She also needs to tell Tina that she wants to tell her parents that they are together. Bette is being very patient, but at some point she is going to feel that she is being dishonest with them and Tina needs to realize that. At some point she needs to simply tell Emma what is going on and for her to bug-off trying to control and influence her life. If her mother continues, then she should consider a more arms length relationship with her mother.

      Emma’s sudden pursuit of Helena as a potential date for Tina is really perplexing. It is not only controlling, its desperation. It seems to me that Emma should fix her own problems of being alone rather than trying to fix Tina’s life.

      Maybe Bette, Tina and Helena can fix Peggy up with Emma? Not a good match but at least it would keep Emma busy for a while and it might be entertaining.

      I really enjoy this chapter. I hope to see more in the near future……

    3. I like this story too! Lovely chapter and nice to see Tina get spoiled by the rich life. Hopefully she will get the confidence to out herself and tell Emma about her and Bette. Love that Bette is so patient. I dont know how you get these chapters out so quickly, takes me forever. Thank you PSS

    4. Thanks for this second post of the weekend! Nice distraction while waiting for the storm to hit the region. Gonna be a rough night.

      I’m with Bibi and was cheering for Tina when she gave Emma a good telling-off. Good for her! I’m sure Emma wasn’t prepared for storm Tina.

      Chill out time at the beach. I hope B + T get to talk some. Tina needs to consider Bette’s wish to tell her parents. Tina could give Emma as much as “I have a new girlfriend who I love very much. If you behave yourself and stop managing my life, I’ll tell you what she does for a living. And if you are being nice, I might tell you her name.”

      Looking forward to the next parts.

      Storm Ciara has been messing about with my Internet connection today but calmed a bit now and things seemed to have settled a bit.

      Always loved Peggy in the Show and like her addition in the story.

    7. Great chapter and I think I know who will give Tina advice about how to handle her mom and show her the way to tell her mom that she is in love with Bette and for her mom to keep her options to her self after
