Is this love – chp 67&68

    IS THIS LOVE

    Chapter 68

Bette stepped out of the cab and looked at the huge 19th century brown stone building right next to Central Park. Tina slammed the taxi door and handed $10 to the driver who took the money and eased the car back out into the traffic
“Is this the right place ?” Bette asked
    “Sure is “ Tina said
“Lead the way “ Bette said – she really wasn’t sure how well this was going to go. Tina was sure that her mother had accepted their relationship – Bette was still to be convinced. Tina took Bette by the hand and they walked into the building
“Good evening Ms Kennard – nice to see you “
Tina and Bette were greeted by a smart concierge complete with a cap
“Hello Ben – how are your grandchildren ?”
“Just delightful “ he gave Bette a look
“This is Ms Porter my partner “ Tina said
    “Good evening Ms Porter “
    “Hello “ Bette replied.
Tina and Bette strolled over to the lift and waited patiently until it arrived.
“Very nice place “ Bette said
“I can see the concierge bit appeals to your inner snob “
Bette laughed “You could be right – this is a great old building “
“The walls are huge and the windows are all something just out of a cathedral “
“How long did you live here ?”
“We moved here when I was about 12 – we lived in a nice town house but the business was really taking off and it did make sense to move into the centre of town. I hated it at first but its got so much right outside the door. I started running in the park when I was 14 and there are so many movie houses around the place”
“Seems funny that you and I were both living in the city for so long and our paths never crossed”
“Well they did recently and that’s all that matters to me “ Tina kissed Bette on the lips as the lift arrived and they stepped inside. Tina took hold of Bette and kissed her again
“we found each other at the right time – that’s all that matters “
Bette rested her hands on Tina’s hips
    “Its going well “
Tina nodded “It is- I love that we can talk “
Bette nodded – that had always been a hurdle in the past but with Tina communication seemed to be one of the things that really was a strong point between them. Tina was easy going and seemed to take anything that Bette said pretty much in her stride. Bette knew she got mad quicker but Tina seemed to not have been ruffled by seeing Bette in a temper.
“Do you really think your mom is okay about us ?”
Tina nodded “I guess you do need to see it for yourself but she had thawed – maybe this anniversary has made her rethink her life and see that I was slipping through her fingers”
Bette nodded “I know its important to you “
“It is – she’s all I have Bette and she is my mom – she may be a pain in the ass but she is my pain in the ass “
When the elevator arrived at the 15th floor Tina led the way along the corridor and stopped outside a black front door. She didn’t knock – she opened the door and went inside. Bette followed her offering up a silent prayer that this would go well.

    1. Amazing chapter!

And i am glad that Bette is willing to give Emma a second chance.

Any chance you will gift us with another chapter?

To all the people who are so busy to help, wether you are a doctor, nurse, shopping assistent, delivery guy- woman or like my collegeaus who are working very hard to make sure the trains are still running to bring those all who we need in this worrysome time to work. Thank you all ????????????

    2. Wonderful chapters…. Love the fact that Emma has loosened her nickers. It has been a long time coming. This chapter’s Emma is someone I can like. There is nothing wrong with being peculiar. But to be nasty, mean and inconsiderate is simply not acceptable. Tina is her only child and her only living relative. She is also an adult who is whether Emma approves or not will make her own decisions about her life. She will also experience the rewards or the harm which those decisions bring. Emma needs to stop making assumptions like her daughter as no judgement capabilities in choosing a potential mate or she never going to lead a worthwhile life unless she does X, Y or Z. And no one knows more that Emma Kennard. This type of mind set will lead to nothing but unhappiness. I hope these changes in Emma are what we can expect in the future.

So Tina is just now considering that Bette will be her one and only for the rest of her life? Really?? Where the hell has she been for the past few months? I’ll tell you where. IN BETTE’s BED.!! I guess I’m not accustom to people not thinking any further into the future than this weekend. I can’t imagine saying to yourself how much you love someone without thinking this is my lover for life. But maybe this is some self-defensive mechanism. This is my lover until this isn’t my lover? If that is the thought process, then doesn’t that somewhat insure that the relationship will fall apart at some point? Maybe this is just me. But to me that was just a show stopping statement. Hope both Bette and Tina will be ready to commit to one another for life some time soon…

Thank you for these chapters.. Love to see more. Stay home if you are not a first responder or a priority service provider.

    3. Love this story, love this chapter, agree 100% with the comments above. We are staying put in my home, all three home from college and doing their classes online. So grateful for the grocery store workers, the warehouse workers, the truck drivers and all the medical staff. I read today that hospital employees are sleeping in their garages or away from the home so that they don’t infect their families. Heartbreaking. Thanks for the smoking hot chapter, please write more when you can.
