Tina was sweating bullets. She had tuned Kate out from the moment she mentioned Al’s name, and whatmore, it was difficult to hear her from the drumming that was pounding in her ears. Bette hadn’t noticed them yet, she was still too busy showing her picture to a pimply tween, asking if the guy had caught glimpse of her. “Uh.. that’s nice.” She responded absentmindedly when she noticed Kate’s lips had stopped moving.
“Pretty cool party..” Kate remarked, finally taking the chance to absorb their surroundings now that she found what she came here for. “Wanna go around and play a bit? I love carnival games.” She grinned, flexing her fingers in anticipation. What’s the point in successfully gatecrashing when she couldn’t have fun? “So, what do you wanna do?”
“Fuck.”
“What?!” Kate choked on her own tongue.
“We’re so fucked.” Tina murmured weakly, her eyes glued to the brown ones that had finally spotted them from fifteen feet away. Bette was staring unblinkingly at her; sending goosebumps all over her arms. Even though she wasn’t doing anything wrong, she averted her gaze guiltily and looked elsewhere. Kate, generally clueless, was looking at everyone except the person behind them – boring a hole into the back of her skull with the laser beams shooting out of her brown eyes. There was heartbreak and sadness there.. but fighting with those two emotions were intense anger and hatred too. Yes, Tina was right, they were sooo fucked.

“Porter!” Alice called out, fighting her way through the dense crowd of merrymakers to reach her lonesome friend, a slushie in hand and big smile on her face-painted mug. “I heard you were heading a one-man missing person’s unit. You’re not gonna hang pictures of TK all over the carnival are you?” She ribbed good-naturedly, draping an arm around the brunette’s rigid shoulders. Instead of answering her with a biting remark or a clever retort, the brunette answered her with silence. Intrigued, Alice frowned and studied her friend closely. Bette was staring at something far away, her eyes smoldering and her brows knit together in tension. “Heeey.. why so glum?” Alice asked, waving a hand in front of Bette’s face to snap her out of her trance.

I sorry to hear about the awful weather disaster. I was so pleased to see a post from you though. Bette and Tina need to sit down and have a serious talk! If they would just communicate all this Kate and Jill BS would evaporate. I’m anxiously waiting on your next post!

Alchy, I’m so sorry for the terrible tradgedy that is taking place in your hometown and country. The news says that another typhoon maybe heading your way. Can you just let us know if possible that you are ok? Meanwhile, I’ll do what I can on my end with the red cross and keep you in my prayers.I’m glad that writing is an escape for you…and you bring so much joy to us in fan fic land. Great update – the teasing is hysterical!!!! I can’t wait for the Bette-Kate smackdown. May the best woman win…hah-hah…we know who that is! Keep the faith!
The end of week is full of ntural disasers. And My thoughts are with people who have been touch by these. GOD bless. You, your family and your country are in my prayers. I hope that you survived this last storm. Some how Kate needs to be delt with. Bette and Tina have come too far for this to be happening. Loved the pee in the bag, made me laugh.

Thank you for the update Alchemy, you’re so right, we all need laughter nowadays, even for just a little while. And hoping against nature that this weekend , I shall open my eyes with sunlight and with another post instead of the opposite. Can’t wait to read Bette and Tina getting pass this.

It’s good that you can still appreciate the humor & seek it out in-spite of the devastation that surrounds you & yours at this time. Behind the “scenes” God is doing her work, that no moral can change. Remain strong, positive, helpful. And when you can you will update.

Alchemy, I am still trying to catch up. I fell behind 6 chappies. I think I was half way on the last one. But, this is a short chappy. I should be caught up by this weekend, you and school are keeping me very busy.
