    The closer it got to the time when they would return home to Los Angeles the more emboldened Kate felt to make her move on Tina. She figured the wrap party would be her last opportunity. Everyone usually let loose when they yelled the final cut. The wrap party was a celebration and a means to thank everyone for their hard work. The food would be plentiful and the liquor would be flowing. Tina would have her guard down and Kate would be ready to pounce.

    Bette and James talked daily. Every time they spoke James reported on his father’s excellent progress. By the fifth week he’d been released from the hospital and had completed his physical therapy. He’d recovered full movement of his paralyzed limbs and was now working on getting his speech back to normal. James’ mother had also gotten her life back and was thoroughly enjoying having James, Lisa and JJ home for the extended visit. As much as James thought he’d be bored he’d actually welcomed the downtime since as Bette predicted his work schedule was about to become very demanding.

    Bette was wrapping things up in New York getting ready to return to Los Angeles when she received a call from her attorney regarding the suit against Kelly Wentworth. Kelly had been convicted of the criminal charges weeks before and was now serving the maximum 10 year sentence.

    “Bette the reason I’m calling is because they want to settle the civil suit. Kelly’s therapist is concerned for her well-being. Both she and the lawyer don’t think Kelly is in any condition to go through another trial so soon after being sentenced. We can settle now or it might be a couple of years before we can bring the civil charges. I’d rather not wait as too much can change.”

    “What are they offering?”

    “They want us to drop the punitive damages. It’s unlikely she would get much more than a year or two added to her sentence if we were to win.”

    “What about compensatory damages?”

    “She’s willing to transfer ownership of the Wentworth galleries worldwide. It’s her only personal asset. Collectively they are reported to be valued at over ten million dollars by current market rates. The Wentworth Estate will guarantee the cash settlement if we go that route. If you want to expand the Porter Galleries’ foothold around the world you get the properties. Of course once you take ownership you can cherry pick. You’d have no use for the West Hollywood location since you already have your own gallery so you could sell that one to pay for expansion elsewhere.”

    2. So glad that Bette has decided to take matters into her own hands and investigate that crazy little witch. Shades of adele and jodi. Glad her mess is about to come to a halt and in doing this I hope Bette can bring criminal charges and prevent the idiot from ever directing anything ever again. Let her crawl back under that rock she crawled from. And it will also put a stop to William as well. Love your continued nightly postings. Hope you’re feeling generous again tonight.     3. Tina is lucky that Kate has not been violent to this point. That’s probably about to change. At least the movie is wrapped up so it’s time to blow Kate Arden to smithereens.

    7. I’m still a little in the ‘bang heads’ mind set mode and find myself talking to Tina and Bette as I read. Sad really but glad Tina listened and told Bette. Equally I’m delighted Bette is now in kick ass mode.

    10. Come on Tina, get the hell away from that woman. Tina is naive to think that she can handle Kate alone. Her stubborn attitude is going to put her in danger; i.e. date rape or worse. I am not sure that she is the partner Bette needs. Tina needs to know that she has the world at her command with Bette. She can make her mark in the movie business and get to come home to Alex and Bette. I am glad that Bette is willing to use her “pull” to protect Tina. Hopefully she can get the dirt on William and Kate.

    12. Finally my comments/prayers were answered and Tina talk to Bette!
      Now is time for Bette to kick box Kate’s ass to some frozen lake in Canada.Then the thin ice is going to break and the biatch will be gone!!
      I hope Bette will surprise Tina at the wrap up party in time to put a stop on Kate’s plan to attack Tina.
